Writings
I love to write, I just can't stop myself..
The Note: Lover

"As I got out of my car, I looked at everyone entering the school, and let out a sigh. It was Valentine's Day, and I knew that I wouldn't get anything this year. Again."

I sighed heavily. This was the day. I had erased and erasing, trying to fit the perfect words into the small note.I had finished writing, and I read the note carefully, hoping it would be just right to give.

Jane:

I don't know how long, but I've always felt something for you. I never knew what. But now, and I hope I'm right, I know. There is nothing to describe how I feel, unless it's these three words:

I Love You.

Suddenly it was snatched away from my hands, and Zac was beside me, reading the note.
"Seriously, Zac? Why do you have to be so immature?"
"Me? Immature? Whatever. This is immature. I mean, seriously, a love letter? And to J-"
"Yes I'm serious. Now, give me the note back. Now."
"Maybe I will. Maybe I won't."
"Zac!"
"You always ruin the fun."
"Zac, it's Valentine's Day. Does that mean anything to you? And this year you even have a girlfriend!"
"Not really. I mean, think about it. All the guys spend all their hard earned dough just to buy some girl something to show their affection. And if they don't get the exact thing they wanted, then they burst into tears. I buy what I can and write something really cheesy. It always works for me."
"Well, in case you hadn't noticed, I'm not like you."
"Fine. Do whatever."
After a long silence after walking down the hall, I found her locker. I carefully opened it, hoping she and her friends wouldn't magically appear out of no where like they usually do. I put a piece of tape on the note and carefully taped it to the locker door.
"You're sticking a note in her locker?"
"Yeah..."
He sighed pathetically."Oh man. You need help."
"Ugh. What did I say? I'm not like you!"
"Okay okay! Geez."
Another long silence while walking to class. We were a bit early, but there was nothing else to do.

"So. What did you get for Stephany?"
"I looked up stuff on the Internet, and I got her 11 real roses and one fake. Then I wrote that I would love her as long as all the roses lived. Ain't it great? Cheap and cheesy! And it wasn't even my idea! How great is that?"
He's such an idiot. "That's so pathetic. Why can't you just do something yourself instead of taking someone else's ideas?"
"Do I have to explain?"
I stopped, staring at his idiotic expression. I sighed and said, "I really don't think you should. You need all the brain you have to survive Math."
I walked away, hoping he would take it as a joke like he always did, even though usually I would be serious about it. Then I remembered something. I forgot to tape a rose to the letter. I thought it would make the note a little more formal. I ran across the hall, dodging all I could, hopefully no one would get on to me about running in the hall. I quickly stopped, seeing Jane and Steph walking to their lockers. Steph had a big bouquet of 11 real roses, and Jane carried a disappointed look on her face. I could see she was trying to hide it. Hopefully the note wouldn't make things worse. I walked to the wall by the lockers, listening to their conversation.

" I'm sorry. I forgot! I shouldn't have been so open to my gift. I should've let you see it after V-Day. I'm very sorry."

Jane playfully giggled. "It's okay. Just as long as you don't turn into one of those kids where they say sorry after everything they say."

"Okay. Sorry, Jane."
"It's alright,Steph." She said annoyingly.
"Sorry." Steph replied back.
"Steph!"
"Kidding! Just kidding!"

I heard the locker open, and heard some books being dragged out, but no tape being ripped. I should've put it inside the locker. Then, Steph spoke again.

"Jane. Ever noticed how the inside part of your locker door looks pink?"
Yes! Thank you so much, Stephany! I though to myself. I slowly peeked my head out, seeing the surprised look on her face.
"What?! It can't be pink. Our lockers are-"
I heard her rip the tape off, and heard the golden necklace dangle.
I walked away, so thankful that I got to tell her on Valentine's.
