Rayne Onmi (Finished) Future Bonds (Will resume at a later date), and Dream World Mirau (Ongoing Updated Daily)
Dream World Mirau Day 26
Dream World Mirau by Josephina Mari
Day Twenty Six of NaNoWriMo

Baer looked surprised as the door opened up and his Master stood on the other side looking back at him with a similar expression of surprise on his face. “Baer my boy is that really you? You look like you been through a lot. Please come in and tell me all about it.” Baer’s Master said as he held the door open while Baer walked inside. “I’m glad to see you are well Master. I heard from one of the townspeople that you were acting as a doctor here so I was glad to catch you. I thought I was going to die in Aloen when the Akuen attacked, but my new friends Karou and Mari came to help me. They are on a quest to stop the Akuen, so I felt it was the right thing to accompany them in their quest.” Baer said then he sat down on the couch near by as his Master made his way into the kitchen to fix a cup of coffee for himself and his student. He returned shortly after with the cups of coffee in both hands. He offered one to Baer then he took a sip of his own coffee before he spoke “That night was hard on us all, but to hear that you are alive and now going to fight the Akuen...It’s like two unbelievable things happening before my very eyes. I can’t let you fight this battle alone. I will join you and your friends and help in anyway possible. At the very least I can offer some healing support. If we had more time I would offer to teach you the Ice Serpent summoning technique, but that would take months and time is something we are limited on. I can tell you have gotten stronger since the last time I saw you Baer, and your heart is now in the right place. I no longer see a weak wavering soul in front of me. I am sad that you had to go through all that hardship to find your path though. After the Akuen are gone I plan to gather carpenters from all around the world of Mirau to help rebuild Aloen. We can’t replace the lives that were lost, but we can still give a future to the people that are alive. I won’t let the Akuen take that future away from them.” Baer’s Master said and then he drank half of his coffee in one gulp out of frustration.

“I feel the same way Master. I can tell that a peaceful future is ahead of us. I have seen it in my dreams. I saw the battle with the Akuen, and I know how it will end. Now we just have to follow fates plan for us and make that future a reality. I will help rebuild Aloen as well after all this is over. I would like to see our home again. We will make it better then it was before!” Baer said then he mimicked his Master’s gesture of drinking the coffee out of agitation. Both Baer and his Master were use to drinking coffee so the temperature didn’t bother them at all. Coffee was in some cases compared to a strong ale for the two of them. It acted to calm their nerves and it helped them to forget about their troubles for awhile. Once Baer and his Master finished their coffee they both put their empty cups on the coffee table at the same time then they sighed. “So Baer where are these friends of yours? I need to thank them for helping you out. I should introduce myself properly as well. I maybe ‘Master’ to you, but I have a name too you know? It is Leonardo!” Baer’s Master said feeling a little agitated that no one seemed to call him by first name anymore. To Baer he was ‘Master’ and to the people of this town he was ‘The Miracle Doctor’ while in Aloen he was ‘Master Alchemist’ and ‘Teacher.’ Although those titles gave him great pride he still wanted people to call him by his name once in awhile. “Thank you for the coffee. We should meet up with my friends soon. They are waiting at the inn for me. Karou said it’s not safe for us to stay in one place too long since we were attacked by one of Akuen on the way over here.” Baer said and then he stood up while Leonardo also rose to a standing position. Leonardo was at least a foot taller then Baer so it made Baer feel so small standing next to him.

“Let me grab a few things then we can be off. I’ll have to let the mayor know I’m leaving as well so he can take care of this house for me. I plan to take everything back with me when we return to Aloen to rebuild, but for now it will be safe if I leave it here.” Leonardo said then he walked over to a kitchen cabinet where some healing potions were stored at. “Baer could you hand me that leather bag over there on the chair by the doorway? I’ll put my supplies in there.” Leonardo said then Baer quickly retrieved the bag and brought it over to Leonardo, who then began loading it up with the things he would need for the upcoming battle. Once Leonardo was packed up and ready to go, he and Baer left the small house on the hill and then they walked over to the Mayors house so that Leonardo could say his goodbyes for now. Once they arrived at the Mayor’s house Leonardo explained to the mayor about his participation in the fight against the Akuen and that he would be absent for some time as a result. The Mayor assured Leonardo he understood and would take care of things while he was away. He also hoped for a safe mission for all of us. Baer and Leonardo thanked him before they both headed over to the inn to meet up with Mari and Karou who were waiting outside with Nodin. It looked like they were eating some kind of food Mari must have brought since it didn’t look like anything sold in Mirau.

“Baer is here Karou! It looks like he brought someone with him. Could he be the Master Baer was looking for do you think?” I said looking at Karou whose gaze remained focused on the man walking next to Baer with a scar over his left eye. “That’s him all right. Master Alchemist Leonardo, the man who invented the Molotov Cocktail Potion, which is now used in battle during raids against enemy camps. Those potions helped keep the Akuen away from Metra, the lands we came from, for quite some time.” Karou explained to me as I looked at the man called Leonardo. He reminded me of someone who had been through many battles by the way he looked and stood. Karou made him sound like a pretty dangerous person to be around, so that made me a little concerned if he was indeed Baer’s teacher. Maybe the reason Baer caused the explosion in the Alchemist Shop was because of his Master’s influence on him rather then a pure accident. “Hey guys, sorry for the hold up. I found my Master and we got to talking. He has decided to come with us and help us out with the Akuen problem.” Baer said smiling and then Leonardo interrupted with a quick introduction of himself “I am Leonardo above all use. I am also this boy’s teacher though. He has told me a lot about you kids. I would like to thank you for taking care of Baer all this time.” Leonardo said then he offered his hand out to Karou as a friendly nice to meet you gesture. Karou shook his head and introduced himself and then I did the same.

“If you kids are looking for the Akuen’s headquarters you have to cross the Laston Mountains and head west. Anyone who tries to approach that area has gone missing though, so it has been blocked off for safety reasons. I know a short cut that can get us pretty close to there once we get up into the mountain range. Shall we leave right away?” Leonardo said looking at Karou and me and then at his student to see what we wanted to do. “Let’s get going. The longer we stay here the easier it will be for the Akuen to find us. Mari is riding with Baer so it looks like Leonardo will be riding with me unless you can summon giant white birds too like your student.” Karou said sounding a little bit hopeful. “Ahahaha...No sorry I can’t summon any animals. I never went through Beast Manipulation Training in my younger days. Instead I focused on potion refinement and making explosives.” Leonardo said grinning as if that was his greatest accomplishment. “Great...I hope he doesn’t accidentally set off any explosives on the way there to give away our location.” Karou thought to himself as he mounted Nodin then Leonardo climbed into the saddle behind Karou. I watched as Baer summoned his owl again then he climbed into the saddle and then I climbed into the saddle behind him. “Everyone ready? Here we go!” Baer said as his owl took to the air. I made the mistake of looking down at Karou, Leonardo, and Nodin only to feel vertigo set in. I quickly closed my eyes and grabbed on to Baer waist so I wouldn’t fall of. “Tell me when we get there...” I muttered into Baer’s back. I thought I head him chuckle a little to himself as we continued to fly on towards the Akuen’s base.
