Shear was leaning against a wall in the mission room waiting for Dane to come and talk to him. He was told by Ace that Dane needed to talk to him for a mission. Dane had finally walked in through the doors with Mitsuki behind him. "There you are. What did you need to talk to me about?" Shear asked Dane as he stood up normally. "I need you and Mitsuki to get out of Hell Junction and look around Calin Town. I heard there's a guntru that is jamming the signal for contact. Investigate that town and find the guntru causing the jamming." Dane ordered. "Wait, isn't that Nicholai's mission?" Mitsuki asked a little bit pissed. "He'll be out for a few days since his overload. You two together can finish this mission quite quickly." Dane told her and sat down in his chair before turning away. "Go..."

Location: Calin Town gates

Shear walked up to the gates and whistled a bit. "This place is pretty big. I hear the police force is quite skilled in mutations." Shear said jokingly but, out of nowhere, a man with a police outfit walked out of the bushes with a shotgun in his hand. "Halt, who are you and why have you come?" The man asked as Shear turned to him and said, "I'm Shear and I'm here to investigate...but you aren't human are you?" The man twitched and his mouth grew bigger and bigger until when he opened it, it was the size of Shear's body. He then ran forward to try and devour Shear but he was stopped in his trail by Shear's arrow to the knees. "A guntru? Dammit....and it's a pack leader!" Shear cursed as he opened a barrage of arrows at him. They were so fast, they made the man look like swiss cheese. Shear grabbed Mitsuki's hand and ran with her into the city, slamming the gates closed as more than thirty guntrus came out of the forest and towards the gates. "Well, at least the gates can hold them off." Shear said panting some. He looked back to the city and thought for a moment. "I guess I'll take the left side, you got the right side. Alright?" Shear told Mitsuki before he looked at her. She only nodded and walked off into the city. He shrugged and ran off to the left outer city ring.

Shear had spent over 2 hours walking around town, asking people about the guntrus or if there were any strange occurances. He sighed and realized he was hungry. He reached into his bag and got out a packaged cheese pizza and started to munch on it while walking into an old store by accident. Shear soon walked right into a barrel of a shotgun aimed right at him as the man holding it had it aimed right at his head. "What the hell do you want and why are you eating a cheese pizza in my store!?" questioned the old man with the gun. "Woah! Hold on there grandpa, I got here by accident! Alright?" Shear replied as his hands were up a little off. "Um, I'll just leave then." He continued inching back to the door. The man cocked the gun and said, "Oh no yer not! Nobody leaves Double-Barrel's store without an item!" "Oh Honey~ Who's here?" said a sweet voice as a young lady walked out of the bathroom in a bathroom. "Some elfy boy walked into my store and he was going to leave without purchase!" said Double-Barrel still glaring at Shear. "Buy something or you'll get shot deary~" said Double's wife. "Well said Shoty!" exclaimed Double-Barrel grinning as Shear sighed and said, "F-Fine...I'll take a pack of arrows then." Double-Barrel smiled slightly and lowered his gun as he reached behind him and got out a quiver of arrows. "That'll be $150." He said putting down the shotgun and holding out his hand. "What?! I don't have that kind of cash!" Shear yelled a little bit pissed at that. "Fine then, either I take yer outfit...or you can bring me pound of Guntru Ears." said Double-Barrel as he lowered his hand and glared at Shear. "Woah woah woah! You know about the Guntrus? Why would you want their ears?" Shear asked confused by DB's request.
Double-Barrel grinned and said, "Cause, it's valuable to the Grim Reaper whenever he comes by. If you can get me Guntru Ears, I'll supply you with these weapons. But, if you can bring me a Guntru's tail, I can get my friend Shells to bring you weapons from Death or some certain skills he could teach ya. Just go and bring me 50 Guntru Ears."

Shear had cut down 14 Guntrus and was already tired from fighting. He collected quite alot of their ears and went back to Double-Barrel's shop. "Old man!" Shear yelled as he walked into the shop and gave him the 50 ears. "There, you got your ears, I'll take that quiver now." Shear said panting some. Double-Barrel grinned and said, "Nice, you can collect pretty well." He handed Shear the quiver and left the counter. Shear walked away from the store and pulled out his phone and called Mitsuki.
Shear: "Mitsuki, you there?"
Mitsuki: "Yeah, found anything?"
Shear: "Well, besides a pain in the a** shopkeeper, his wife, and his economy pay, he knows about the guntrus but nothing else."
Mitsuki: "Okay. I found something though, sending you the coordinates on the phone."
Shear nodded and Mitsuki hung up on him as Mitsuki sent the coordinates through text. Shear read the coordinates and was confused by it. "That's.....in the air...what's going on there?" He asked himself and left to the waypoint given. His katanas became wings as he flew through the air to the coordinates. When he reached Mitsuki he looked up into the air and his eyes became wide. "Th-that's..." He was in so much shock he couldn't finish his sentence. In the air was 30 Guntrus with two Nelos Ordina in the air. One of the Nelos easily spotted Mitsuki and Shear, he was currently twirling a gun, and still is as he landed on the ground with another Nelos. "Well well well, Two Diytis. Which one of you defeated Linurio?" He asked still twirling the gun. Shear got into a fighting stance along with Mitsuki as Shear said, "Neither, but we can kick your a** pretty well!" "Oh, well that's a shame." He lost his smile and stopped twirling the gun. "I guess it's time you two learned a lesson for wanting to fight against me. Sis, you just make sure the Guntrus return back to our base." He ordered as he took aim at the two while the female Nelos silently nodded and got to work.

Shear and Mitsuki dashed back panting some as the mysterious Nelos breathed heavily with a few slash marks and bruises on him. "Nice hits, but you won't be able to beat me with just those attacks." He said grinning some as he aimed a gun at his heart. He pulled the trigger and instead of a gunshot, he turned into nothing but skin. But he jumped back and standing there was the same Nelos but stronger. "With the amount of the Pack Leaders I've eaten you can't kill me for I am Slithen!" He took aim but his sister had appeared at his side and lowered his arms. She motioned her head to the direction of the portal and walked away. "Heh, you got lucky. If it wasn't for my sis, you'd be dead." He said before he turned and followed her into the portal as it closed. Shear's phone rang and it was Dane. "Hey, we got rid of what was causing the jamming. But we encountered 2 Nelos. Something is wrong here and I guess we'll have to find out." "Alright, come back and brief me on what has happened over there. Cause I'll be sending Kitten out there to do some work. She has located a town called Farius, a place that the M3RU company control. Something is going on and we need her skills with yours to find out what the M3RU company is up to." Dane said before hanging up. Shear sighed and said, "Mitsuki, it's time for us to head back to base." He grew his wings once more and picked her up while she argued that she could walk. He flew into the air and back towards Hell Junction and into the Nerro house. When Shear landed, he saw Nicholai walking towards them with a crutch to keep him up. "Hey Shear, how'd the mission go?" He asked wearily. Before Shear could answer, Mitsuki was out of Shear's arms and quickly hugged Nicholai. "What are you doing walking around? Does Dane know about this?" Mitsuki asked very worried. "No, he doesn't." replied Dane as he was at the exit door a little annoyed at Nicholai. "Nicholai, return to your room and get some rest, you aren't ready for mission work." Dane ordered but Nicholai waved his hand and weakly said, "I'll be fine, I can walk can I? That means I'm ready for a mission." Dane glared and walked over to Nicholai, when he was just a few inches away he placed a hand on Nicholai's shoulder, causing Nicholai to lose all feelings in his legs and forcing him to collapse. "See what I mean? Mitsuki, get him to his room. Shear and Kitten will be going for the mission."
Mitsuki sighed and dragged Nicholai out of the landing pad area to the lobby and into his room. She placed him onto his bed and realized he was not in good health. She placed her hand onto his forehead and felt that he was burning up. "Nicholai, are you awake?" She asked, but Nicholai was back out of his consciousness. Mitsuki looked around before she closed and locked Nicholai's bedroom door. She got onto his bed with him and kissed his forehead, she then quickly passed out.
Mitsuki opened her eyes and realized she was in Nicholai's mind, for she could see him fighting against his darker self. "Nicholai!" She yelled, causing both of them to look at her and the normal Nicholai yelling back, "Get out of here Mitsuki!" He looked to his right and saw his darker form running towards Mitsuki, with his blade ready to kill. "Oh no your not!" Nicholai said before he vanished and blocked the Dark Nicholai's attack. However, he was starting to get pushed back from his Dark side's power. "Run Mitsuki!" Nicholai ordered but she shook her head. "No, I want to help you!" She then wrapped her arms around Nicholai and jumped back with him. They landed away from his Dark Side and got ready for a fight.

Nicholai and Mitsuki were pushed back to an edge while they were holding off Dark Nicholai. "Yeesh, what's with this guy?!" Mitsuki asked as they pushed him away and ran away from the edge. "I don't know, but he's getting stronger each time we play keep-away. If we want to best him, we need to charge at him!" Nicholai told her as he got ready for a charge. Mitsuki sighed and got ready to fight as well. "This better be the right thing to do." She said as they both ran at Dark Nicholai. He watched and braced himself for the impact as they struck his sword hard. He lost his foothold and flew backwards right over the edge and into the abyss as he yelled, "I'll return for your soul Nicholai!" Nicholai was panting heavily and said, "I hate him....so much." He sheathed his sword and fell backwards onto the ground of his world. The place then transformed into a grassland, the sky clear, a lake nearby, and birds in the air.
Mitsuki sat down and said, "Your head still hasn't changed. Two sides, like a coin, but each changing as you age. You're one strange person, and I like for you to stay like that, otherwise we can't be friends." She smiled and vanished from his mind and back into her body. She sat up and stretched her body a bit before getting out of his bed and out of his room. She was thinking of what that Dark man said, 'I'll return for your soul Nicholai!' I'll need to talk to Dane about this. Mitsuki thought to herself and walked to the watch room.

Location: Farius, an old town that looks like it's been cleaned forever and has been inhabited by cleaning machines.

Shear and Kitten had flown into the town and landed on a rooftop near the gates. "This place looks neat." Shear said grinning some. "Oh do hush up, we're on a mission. Besides, its not all that perfect. This place doesn't have a kimono shop." Kitten replied while staring at the city. "Actually it does, we're standing on it." Shear replied looking at a map. "Oooo....let's go shopping!" Kitten said excitedly and took Shear's hand before jumping down. "Nononononono--ahhhhhhh!!!" Shear yelled as he was being dragged against his will. Kitten landed while Shear landed on his butt. "Geez! Watch it." He said while getting up and rubbing his butt. "Come on!" Kitten said looking at him and then walked right into the store with Shear.
Behind them were a few security robots that spotted them when they landed. "SCANS CLEARED, UNKNOWN HUMANS DETECTED, WARNING M3RU KNIGHTS." The left one said before they both left. At the M3RU Company headquarters, located at the center of the city, their company leader, Xerik, watched the video the robots sent him. "Interesting, Diytis have come into my city. Well, I'll send my new toys after them." Xerik told himself, he was a 12-year old child with powerful control of the company. He reached over and pushed the alert button that activated three beings so far, the following M3RU Knights: Julian, Prenovety, and Curo.
All three of them activated their flight mode and flew out of their positions to the Kimono store. Shear sighed as he was carrying all the Kimonos Kitten wanted while she continued to look through the kimonos in her neko form. Her tail swayed from left to right as she kept getting kimonos for her. She soon came across a black rose gi and matching hakama. "Oh my, these would so go great for Nicholai!" She said softly and grabbed them gently. She then motioned Shear to the counter as she walked ahead and placed the Black Rose gi and hakama onto the counter. "How much for these?" She asked the shop keeper. "That'll be 1000 Guntru blood shards." the shop keeper replied smiling some. "What?!" Kitten said staring at the shop keeper with anger in her eyes. Shear sighed and said, "Well, good thing I collected other parts." He placed the other kimonos onto the counter and pulled out a Crystal Guntru heart. "Would this suffice for all of it?" He asked showing it to the shop keeper. "Oh my! A crystal Guntru Heart! Of course it would! Plus, this would make an excellent wedding ring~" She smiled excitingly while jumping up and down before cashing it.Shear got a few bags and began to put the Kimonos in them with Kittens help. But she got a clothing bag just for the Black rose gi and hakama. "I want these to be a thank-you present for Nicholai." she told Shear softly and walked out of the store with Shear. They immediately came across the three M3RU knights as Julian said, "Come quietly or prepare for battle." Kitten jumped a bit from the sudden voice and glared as she said, "Don't you three have manners? Never order a lady like that!" Prenovety grinned as his left arm turned into a mechanical long sword. "Just stay quiet Julian, Curo and I will get them down with ease." He told Julian while Curo's arms were covered in electricity. Kitten put the Black Rose outfit into Shears hands as her scythe appeared in her hands. "I'll teach you two some manners."

Kitten spun the scythe and had it over her shoulder while Prenovety and Curo fell to their knees. "Damn, we were designed to beat the Diytis but yet we're beaten? How is that possible?!" Prenovety ask in anger while clutching his left arm. Kitten scoffed at them and answered, "It's because you are designed for death combat, not normal combat." She then looked at them and ordered, "Now, tell us who is your leader!" Prenovety grinned and said, "Like you'll live to find him." His arm changed from a sword into a shock cannon and he aimed right at Kitten. Shear saw this and dropped the Kimonos as he got in the fireline when he took the shot. Shear was shocked unconscious as he whispered, "Get away....Kitten" Kitten backed up and quickly picked up the clothing from the ground and flew off. Prenovety took aim but Julian stopped him. "We have one, that is all we need. Let's get him to base." Julian ordered before he turned and took flight back to base. Prenovety looked away and cursed as he picked up Shear and flew back to base with Curo.
Kitten landed back at the base and dashed towards Dane's watch room. She stumbled upon Mitsuki and Dane arguing. She dropped the kimonos onto the floor, except the outfit she got Nicholai, and stomped the ground yelling, "Hey you two! No arguing! Shear was just taken by M3RU forces!" Dane immediately stopped as Mitsuki was about to yell back but Dane stopped her. "She's right, we have a downed Diytis in M3RU's arms." Dane rose and grabbed his Hybrid katana. "They are a force to be reckoned with. They can take us down if we don't destroy them. Mitsuki, Kitten, go and get Ace and head off to the M3RU company. I'll be there holding off their forces. You three will have to get inside and take down anyone that gets in your way. I'll be behind you making sure they don't follow." He girded the katana onto his side and put on a couple of gloves. "It's been a while since I've been on the battlefield. Let's make this quick and painless. The M3RU knights will be doing the same thing." Mitsuki and Kitten nodded and left the watch room to Ace's room. Dane walked out of the house and onto the field as three Ferins he had captured himself were restrained and only two were roaring at him. The one in the middle was calm. "Let's get moving." Dane commanded before chopping off the chains that held it. He soon got onto its back as it spreaded its own wings and they flew off to Farius.

Mitsuki and Kitten were waiting just outside of Ace's room as he finished getting dressed. "Alright, now what do you want?" he asked lazily. Kitten glared and told him the story flat-out before turning away. Ace sighed and rubbed his temples slightly. "I never thought he'd get into trouble. Alright, I'll fly us there." He replied staring at her, but she shook her head. "No, I'll bring us there." Kitten told them as she snapped her fingers and a portal opened up. Mitsuki and Ace were pretty amazed but Ace pouted slightly. "I wanted to come in with my guns but oh well." He said while shrugging. They all walked in and appeared back at the field where Kitten and Shear fought the three enemies. Kitten then pointed to the 3 towers 48 miles away. "There's the M3RU HQ. That's where Dane and Shear are going to be, let's kick some a**." Kitten said still angered. They began to run to the towers.

As they were running, the city defenses activated as turrets popped out of the buildings and started to fire at the three.

While they were closing in, the turrets began to shut off and retract into the buildings. What's going on here? Mitsuki thought as they were in the tower's proximity. She felt a little, drained, when they arrived. Her breathing became human as she was havin trouble catching her breath once more. Ace looked over at Mitsuki and patted her shoulder. "Hey, is everything alright?" He asked. She nodded and stood normally, not wanting to worry them. Kitten moved ahead while they both followed her. The central area opened up as in the hole were stairs going down. "Do we go down here?" Ace asked Kitten but she was unsure. "Maybe we should split up. Ace you get the stairs. I'll check the left flank. Mitsuki will check the right flank." She replied, in which they all agreed. They all took their placed and were ready for a fight. Ace began his descent while the lights began to fade. In the darkness, Ace's eyes began to glow and acted like night vision. He looked and realize the stairs went in a circular motion. He shrugged and just jumped down into the darkness instead of stairs. He landed on solid ground and stumbled a bit. "Woah, a little trippy." He said before chuckling. His eyes returned to normal as light began to appear. Kitten walked along the left tower trying to find an entrance. At first glance, it was more like a statue, but closer examinations showed Kitten little carvings in the building which lead to a door. She pushed it open and walked inside. "Hello?" She called out as she was prepared for a battle. She took a few steps and then the lights went out. She heard the door close and then began to feel around for holes to watch out for. Her senses were being messed up by something in the air, making her a little dizzy. "Sleeping gas?" She asked before passing out. The floor began to move downward with her on it.
Mitsuki was a little tired from walking around and sat down next to the right Tower and tried to catch her breath. She started to hear footsteps, which made her jump up and get into her battle position as best as she could. Julian, of the M3RU knights, came into sight as he walked over to her and said, "Stay your hands, I'm not here to brawl..." He then walked away from her towards the center area and walked down the staircase. Mitsuki was frozen in fear and fell to her knees as she never felt so much energy flowing from a body. "Ace..." She whispered before she began to get up to warn him. Her legs soon stopped heeding her commands and she fell to the ground hard. "Dane, Ace, Kitten, Nicholai...." She looked up and reached for something to help her get up. It was a hand, which returned her grip and helped her up. Dane was standing there and asked, "Where are the others?" "K-Kitten is in the left tower and Ace is down the staircase. A M3RU Knight is going down for him." Mitsuki replied as she heard Dane curse and helped her onto the Ferin. "Guard her Nevy, you're the only being who won't die from loyalty. Mitsuki, I'm going to get Ace and Kitten out of here. Plus, I got us reinforcements." He gave her a thumbs-up before running towards the staircase.
Dane dropped down the hole in the middle of the spiral stair case and landed on the bottom with ease. He looked ahead and saw Ace fighting off Julian. He drew Hybrid out and charged into the hallway the two were in. When he slashed outward towards Julian, his sword goes right through him and revealed that it was a hologram. He looked up and did a backflip, dodging a capsule. "An Electronic Eye Projector trap," Dane said as he stood up and looked to his right while his right eye looked behind him seeing Julian there with a trapped Ace in a capsule before continuing, "a trap used by the M3RU knights to ward off Diytis who see their comrades in danger." Julian clapped his hands while walking towards Dane. "Very clever, you were able to dodge a capsule. But you won't be able to dodge them all." He said and snapped his fingers. Dane looked up and the entire ceiling dropped with the capsules. He closed his eyes and as they were about to hit him, he vanished out of the way and was at the end of the hallway. "You missed me." Dane said as he shot a ball of wind, making the capsules fly clear of the hallway, shattering them all. He then turned around and ran through the hall, determined to get Shear first.

Dane looked through each of the cells he came by and soon came upon a special cage, that held Shear inside. "Shear!" Dane hollared as he slashed the cage bars, cutting them with ease. "The calvary has arrived, come on." Dane said as he held out his hand. Shear sprang out of his seat and grabbed Dane's hand as he jumped over the sharded bars. He summoned up his weapons and said, "Good thing they can't take away my katanas." Dane smiled and patted his back. "Yeah, but its odd how your weapons can't break them." Dane said in a wondering tone. He look to his left and saw guards coming their way. "Let's rock Shear." He got ready to fight as did shear.

As the last guard fell, they made their run for it back into the hall where Julian was waiting. "You aren't going anywhere!" Julian said as he drew a sword handle and placed the top handguard against his hand. His hand clenched around the handle and handguard as he pulled back, his left arm up to his elbow was removed and transformed into a sword as his remaining portion became a cannon. "Shear, can you handle him? I gotta rescue Ace and Kitten." Dane requested as he vanished and went right by Julian. Julian turned to attack but Shear got in his way and blocked the slash. "Ain't no way you're getting by me!" Shear yelled and pushed Julian back. Julian skidded to a stop and stood back up. "Fine, I'll aprehend you as well!" Julian retorted as he got into a fighting stance.

Julian stumbled back as blood poured down his face from his forehead. He raised the remaining portion of his left arm and aimed at Shear. The place shook violently as the hall ground began to collapse. Shear looked around and ran for the exit as the hall bridge broke in two and Julian fell down screaming. Shear sighed and ran up the spiral case as steadily as he could. When he got to the surface, Dane had gotten Ace and Kitten onto Nevy and was waiting for Shear. "Come on! Nevy's the fastest flyer we can rely on. This place is disrupting a few of our powers!" Dane yelled as Shear nodded and dashed towards them. Shear jumped up as Dane grabbed his hand and pulled him up and onto Nevy. "Roar!" Dane yelled as Nevy released a loud roar before taking flight and going out of Farius at top speed. When they got out of Farius, Nevy slowed his pace to go normal. Dane sighed in relief and turned towards them. "It seems M3RU has been studying us, they found most of our weak points. Shear, any reason why you couldn't cut those bars?" Dane asked Shear waiting for an answer.
Shear thought for a moment and said, "They had a power of Chaos in them, preventing my light and dark katanas from cutting them." "You Ace? Why you couldn't destroy that capsule?" Dane asked after hearing Shear's reply. "It had silver lining inside and the smell of it burned my nostrils so I couldn't concentrate." Ace replied tilting his head back and forth. "I won't ask Kitten, cause she wouldn't want to remember that experience." Dane said not looking at Kitten. Her face was as red as a cherry as she replied, "Th-th-thank you Dane." She laid down and looked into the sky watching the stars. Ace and Shear were confused but shrugged it off. "Mitsuki, something inside that base sent strange energy out and it must've collided with your energy, causing a cancel in it. What is your energy?" Dane asked staring at her. Mitsuki replied, "It's a mix of Chi and Chakra. It keeps my body stable and I guess my breathing in a super-heightened state along with my weak heart." Dane through for a moment, trying to think of the reverse form of that. "They must've been able to compound all the world's energy and human energy to place into M3RU Knights. Their energy has increased when they are at their home base. It's the M3RU Knights themselves then." Dane replied after a moment. "I hope they didn't find out mine and Nicholai's weak points." Dane said worriedly as they arrived back at the base. "Anyways, Something is coming and alot of people could be in danger." Dane warned as Nevy laid down its wings for them to get off, which they dide. Dane then chained Nevy back down and hugged it before walking back into the house with the others. Mitsuki stretched as if she had just woken up and said, "I've never felt better though." Dane walked by her and said, "Well, it's time for us to rest, but Kitten, why not stop by Nicholai's room so you can give him that thank you gift." Kitten nodded happily.
