Another short story with my character and my friend Chidori.^^ This one is longer than the last, but yeah. What can I say?
Expirament

Dark blue eyes looked out the window, fear evident within them. “Are you ready?” She turned to see a man in a long, white, button up coat. She nodded solemnly and followed him downstairs to the basement. Her red hair hung halfway down her back, swinging slightly as she walked. “The rain definitely sets the mood for tonight,” she thought as they walked down the steep wooden stairs. She was smart for her age, being of only seven years. Her intelligence aided her in figuring out what her father planned to do to her, and it was pretty obvious to her that she had a low chance of coming out of this alive.

They stood at the bottom of the stairs, staring at the small metal table. A large machine with a few buttons and switches stood next to it. The girl walked over to the table and sat on it. Her father came up to her, looking at her with eyes of sorrow and guilt. “Are you sure you’re okay with this?” he asked her for the last time. “Yes,” she replied with a nod. They hugged for what seemed an eternity. Then, he let her go, and she lied down on the table. After drawing a circle with a star in the middle on her forehead, he turned on the machine, flicked some switches, and pressed a few buttons. Electricity ran through the power lines connected to the bottom of the table. A tear ran down his face as he watched her scream as the electricity surged through her body and the circle on her head began to glow. “I’m sorry…Kitty” Then, everything went black.

Kitty awoke with a start, sitting up panting. She’d been having that same dream everyday since it happened. That was seven years ago. She sighed, remembering everything as if it had just happened. She remembered waking up to find her father dead, his blood on her hands. She remembered living for six years, alone. How a giant robot, of which she now resided in, crashed in Virginia, in the park not too far away from her house, and the people that lived inside the robot and took her in. How she now lived with them on a different planet, and how she fell in love with one of the boys in the robot. He was called Chidori. His real name was unknown to her, just as her real name was unknown to him, but they didn’t care. They loved each other.

Kitty got out of bed and walked down to the kitchen of the robot. Everybody else was there too, getting ready for the day. She considered them more than just friends. She considered them her family. Seelie, Jamie, Mew, Antauri, Gibson, Sprx, Nova, Otto, Chiro, Elie, Starlett, and Suki were the only family she had left. “Good morning everyone,” she greeted cheerfully. She got answered with a few Good morning’s, some Hellos, and some unintelligible grunts from those that hadn’t had their morning coffee yet. She made herself some breakfast, and sat down next to Chidori at the table. They continued on with their day as usual.

Later in the day, Chidori, Seelie, Jamie, and Kitty were out walking around one of the forests on the planet Zthizar, where they lived for the moment. They admired the planet’s natural beauty: the flowers, the animals, the lush green forests. They were walking along in peace, until Kitty suddenly stopped, her eyes wide with shock and fear. “Kitty? Are you okay?” Chidori asked “Yeah what’s wrong?” Jamie was getting worried as well. She couldn’t tell them what was wrong because even she didn’t know what was wrong. She felt strange. Her head hurt incredibly, and she felt as if her mind was slowly slipping away from them, away from herself. Her vision became blurry and the sound of their voices was blending together. Kitty’s eyes turned red. Her hair turned black, and she had a look of sadism on her face. She smirked evilly as she saw her friends staring at her.

“K-Kitty, what’s wrong with you?” Seelie asked as she and the others backed away from their now evil friend. “Nothing Seelie,” Kitty replied, evil oozing from every word, “I’m fine.” She stood and her fist was engulfed in flames. “Kitty, no! You don’t want to do this. This isn’t you.” Chidori tried to reason with her, but failed.

“Wrong, Chidori. It is me. I am Kitty’s evil half, created by her father.”

“What do you mean?”

“The experiment in the lab so many years ago, her father was killed, and I’m the one who killed him,” she smiled evilly at the memories, “You should have been there. The way he cowered in fear and the look on his face, it was priceless.”

“You’re sick,” Chidori spat at her in disgust, “Killing people that way. It’s sadistic.”

“It’s what I do,” she shot fire towards them, but they dodged it, the flames just barely missing them. Jamie shot ice at Kitty, much like she had shot fire at them. Her ice froze Kitty’s feet to the ground, but the ice melted and Kitty ran at Jamie with astonishing speed. She took a small dagger out of her sleeve, and just as she was about to stab Jamie, Seelie came and tackled her, getting stabbed in the process. They crashed to the ground and Kitty kicked Seelie’s body off of her. Seelie was bleeding badly, and if she didn’t get medical attention soon, she would, most likely, die. “Seelie!” Jamie looked at Kitty with pure hatred. She charged at her ‘used to be’ friend. Kitty easily shot fire at her, and Jamie went flying backwards into a tree. Her badly burned body lied limp at the trunk of the tree. “Now where did my sweet little boyfriend go?” she laughed an evil laugh. Suddenly, Chidori, being the Shinobi ninja that he was, grabbed her from behind, bringing a kunai (a small dagger like object) to her neck. “What did you do to her?” he asked, his anger obvious. “With whom dear?” she asked with mock innocence. The kunai pressed slightly tighter to her neck. “Unless you want to die, you’ll tell me what you did with Kitty!” “Alright, alright, she’s here, in my mind.” “Release her!” he yelled, the kunai almost slitting her throat. Kitty’s eyes went back to their normal blue color, though her hair stayed black. She looked around at the scene, and saw her friends lying on the ground unconscious. “No,” she breathed.

After they had gotten the two injured girls to the medical center in the robot, everyone else sat in the living area, waiting for Kitty’s explanation of what had happened. “I’m sorry. I should have told you about this, but…I thought you wouldn’t want me to be around when you knew, so I kept it a secret,” she said with a guilty look upon her face. “We could never hate you,” Antauri stood and walked over to his friend. He put his hand on her shoulder in a comforting gesture. She smiled lightly at his words. He always knew how to make her feel better, “Thanks”. Kitty spent the rest of the day feeling guilty, not only about keeping the secret, but about not being able to control it. She had been able to control her dark half for years, why not now? It was late at night and she was in the medical center, looking over her friends who had not yet woken up. The sound of the doors sliding open brought her out of her thoughts. “Chidori?” “Hmm?” he came up behind her and wrapped his arms around her. “What are you doing up so late? You should be in bed like the others.” He scolded playfully. “You’re a fine one to talk. Don’t think I don’t know about those one in the morning runs you take.” She laughed as he stuck her tongue out at her. It was quiet for a moment. “Chi, I’m worried. They haven’t woken up yet,” she told him. “Don’t worry; I’m sure they’re fine. Gibson said they just need some rest,” he assured her. She sighed. Chidori turned her to face him. “You’re still feeling guilty, aren’t you?” She sighed again and nodded. “I almost killed you guys! You would have been a lot better off if I could just control it. If I was stronger, they wouldn’t be like that. They’d be okay. They wouldn’t be hurt as bad as they are.” Chidori looked at her sternly, “It’s not something you could have controlled. Like it or not, it’s a part of you. We just need to be ready to handle it, and in time, you’ll be strong enough to control it forever. Until then, we train.” He hugged her again. She returned the hug, but she wasn’t so sure everything would be okay.

It had been two weeks since Kitty’s evil side took control, and injured her friends. Seelie and Jamie had been healed and things seemed to be going back to normal. Kitty, stayed in her room a lot more often than before, but nobody gave it a second thought. She acted like she always did, but inside her mind was a completely different story. Her mind was in disarray, always thinking back at that incident. She had now started seeing things in a more negative way. She had once, even tried to kill herself, feeling her guilt pressure down on her and her evil side continuously haunting her; she felt no need to live. Her friends had stopped her from jumping into a river, convincing her that they need her.

A few times while they were helping some people from a burning building, her evil side, or DK as they officially dubbed her, had taken control and spread the fire to even more buildings and killed even more people. Kitty had entered a world of her own by now, a world where only she existed. She had been swallowed up by her guilt of her inability to control her other half, “It’s all my fault” echoing in her head. One night, it had been raining. She went to the kitchen in the middle of the night. She walked down to the basement of the robot. The steep stairs creaked slightly as she went down. With a wild look in her eyes, she stood in the middle of the large empty room. She plunged the knife down towards her heart. “Kitty?” She turned and saw Antauri and Chidori at the bottom of the stairs. “Kitty!” Chidori ran to her as she fell to the ground, blood running down her chest. Her eyes were open, but her pulse had died down, and her breathing had stopped completely. Tears ran down his face and splashed lightly onto hers, but she did not stir. She lied there, limply in his arms, never to breathe again.

Okay then, hmm. Its not bad, not in the slightest. You do need some help with fight scenes though, and I was a bit confused by the robot. Is this robot massive, if so then how could it land in a park without stepping on anything? Do these people live in the robot or are they living on an actually planet? Why would the girl be willing to allow herself to be imbue with an evil half? Why did she manifest herself at that particular part and just go on a massive tear?

This are questions that a reader would ask and its up to the author to explain some of them. Other than that, it was good. 3nodding
