(CANCELLED) Dragon's SeeD (part 3)
The following crossover fan-fiction has been cancelled, and reworked into "Apathetic Dragon Knight." If you're interested in seeing more of this cross-over, I'd recommend following that series instead, as it is slightly less shitty.

His name is Dart. My name is Dart? No, my name is Squall. I remember this clearly enough. Squall pondered, his emotions conflicting in a strange way. Freaking out about this won't solve anything. I should try to find a way to fix this. First thing's first, I need to save Shana. Squall began on his way, but stopped. What? No, I have to find a way back home, but I don't know anybody who could help with that. No, I owe it to Dart to help Shana. That's my current mission. Now confident in his objective, Squall continued to Hellena.

Squall arrived at Hellena, only to see it was a gigantic fortress. How can I get in? He turned around to see a traveling salesman driving a cart to Hellena. Squall jumped in the back, figuring it was his only chance. The cart came to a stop. "Wait, I need to inspect your inventory!" said a voice audible from outside. Squall grabbed a blanket, and hid underneath it. "Looks clean," the voice said, "you're free to go."

I can't believe that worked. Squall jumped out of the cart as it continued on its way through the prison. Time to find Shana. Squall made his way to the outer workings of the prison, where he saw two towers. They're probably keeping the prisoners in there. He walked into the one closest to him. It stank, and the moisture in the air wasn't helping any. The tower looked like it was about to fall apart at any time. "Move quicker!" Squall heard further down. He snuck against the wall to check it out. The prison guards were moving three soldiers. Probably prisoners of war. "You guys are s**t out of luck. Fruegel's gonna make you wish you died in the battlefield!" the guards taunted. "What do you mean?" one of the soldiers asked. The guards chuckled, "Did you really think he'd let you live comfortably in prison? Fruegel's gonna feed you to the Monster!" One of the soldier shouted out as he tried to run away, but a guard quickly smacked him in the gut with his baton, knocking him down. "Whoopsie daisy!" the guard laughed. "I can't let you humiliate us like this!" the downed soldier spat out, "If you're going to kill us, then kill us now!"

"I won't let him!" a man interjects, following by throwing a spear into one of the guards. "Sir Lavitz!" the soldiers chanted. Lavitz quickly pulled the spear from the guards corpse, and jumped in to attack the next. Then, Squall felt a blade pressed against the back of his neck. "Don't move!" the voice behind him said nervously. Squall slowly stood up with his hands raised, then he quickly ducked under the blade, and stabbed the guard threatening him. Squall backed off as several other guards gathered around him. Meanwhile, right behind him, Lavitz was busy fighting off other guards. "Go, get out of here!" Lavitz shouted to the imprisoned soldiers. They began their escape, but more guards quickly closed in on them, and knocked them over the side of the tower. The guards had forced Squall and Lavitz into a corner. "I saw you fighting," Squall whispered to Lavitz, "if we work together, we shouldn't have too much trouble getting through these guys." Lavitz raised his spear. "What did you have in mind?" Maybe I'm in over my head. "On my signal, rush them"

"That's your plan?" Lavitz asked, someone befuddled. Did he really expect anything more complex than that? "Now!" Squall rolled forward and sliced the kneecaps of the guards immediately before him, while Lavitz went for the others to the right. One guard almost bashed Squalls head in with his baton, but Squall quickly pulled his gunblade up in defense. He pushed the baton away, and cast a fire spell, knocking him back into his buddies. Lavitz seemed to be doing well, his skills on a whole other level from these guards. Finally, the coast was clear. Lavitz lowered his spear to converse with his newfound ally. "I must admit, I had my doubts, but you are an excellent warrior," Lavitz complimented Squall. "I am Lavitz Slambert, head of the First Knighthood of the Kingdom of Basil." He introduced himself. "Squall," Squall gave as his brief introduction. "Well, Dart," Can he not hear my name? "you don't seem to be a prisoner here. Why have you come to such a horrible place?"

Squall sighed, somewhat disappointed that his name could not be heard. "A girl named Shana was taken here. I've come to rescue her." Lavitz was intrigued. "This Shana must mean a lot for you to venture to such a dangerous place as Hellena." What does Shana mean to Dart? Squall pondered on it, then gained a memory of Dart's. In it, he saw Dart as a child, protecting Shana from a vicious wolf.

"It's settled," Lavitz went on, despite little response from Squall, "I'll help you save Shana." Squall was mildly surprised. "Why?" he asked. "You helped me. Besides, it's difficult enough getting through Hellena alone, but together, we just might make it out of here." And so they left the tower, and headed for the other, where Shana was no doubt being held.
