Yesterday, Kaleb made 10 months. Hopefully he'll be walking before he makes 11. surprised So we went to Louisiana yesterday, instead of going to church. We made it a family affair, Aunt Dale and later Aunt Mary came, withUncle Dawson, unfortunately. We all left after mid day, and stopped at Market Basket in Kinder. Poor Celie had a toothache, but that didn't stop her from being her. We were in the store and Amanda was taking pictures. She smiled and shot the finger, and one of the guys putting out greens saw her. He laughed and said something, and of course she then started saying crazy things like posing nude, and how Amanda was her mother, she had her when she was 14, and one out of four.... I left before I could hear the rest.

It was fun, to have all of us in the store, clowning around in a sort of strange place. I tapped Celie on her boobs before I realized there was a guy on the aisle putting up frozen dinners. So we got to Oberlin after 4, around 5. It was hot, but that's okay. My great aunts and my uncle still live there just fine. (apparently, our great grandfather built the house?) Amanda made sandwiches, and after eating 1 and a half, I was full, and took a walk outside. I took a few pictures, and went back in for a while. Then Amanda, Cedrick and Amaron decided to walk down the street, to go see some more family. I wasn't going to go at first, but then Uncle Dawson started commenting on how prettty I was...

We got there and Mary Esther was there. There was no booze this time, something I'm sure somebody was disappointed about, but it was all right. Aunt Mary had already come down there, and while Mary Esther was commenting on how pretty I was, Aunt Mary saw fit to include I was still a virgin in the conversation. Yeeah. So we sat there and chattered for a while, then Celie and Christian came. We all stayed a little longer, then it was time to leave. We went back down the street, and ended up staying at our aunts' house a little longer, until about 7:30, when we finally left.

I thought that it being this late, we were gonna go straight home. Not with my mom. We stopped at Albertson's in Lake Charles. They only had an hour in the store, and Aunt Dale wasn't going to get out, but did so right before they closed, to go to the bathroom. I thought everything was fine, while I was sitting at the books and magazines, reading. I missed the show.

First there was an old black woman, Christian nearly started an arguement with, because she felt like my dad, holding a baby, for goodness sakes, was passing too close to her basket while she was swiping her food stamp card. Really? Then Amanda. It was a mess. Then Celie caught these white kids, making fun of Amanda or Christian. So she called them out on it, and I'm pretty sure they left the store feeling stupid.

So that was yesterday, and all in all, it was pretty good.
