My Story/Your Response
By Dominick Cortes
This is part of the lyrics
Where you question why he put it there
How it fails to continue the smooth pattern
That your ears have become so accostumed to.
The words don't sound right
Spoken repeatively only makes it worse in your mouth
The extra rinse cycle you didn't put on the machine
You try to erase it away.
The bigger picture is the background itself
Finding Waldo wasn't the book's design
You sprawl on the floor with no idea how to roll
You're just the image in my mirror.
I write those lyrics out on the bills you use so easily
Making the world of sense from the common logical roots
You can't see the world I see
Because you only use your eyes to see.
How could you comprehend the yard I have
Where wars of far away lands fight
The Captial takes place here
The sacred grounds which the zealous fight for
You bark words that you can't even define
The terminology makes your mind inflate with blankness
You say you understand the words I write
But you couldn't even look inbetween the letters to see the truth
A rebuttal from you is a child joke
The building blocks you put up show your logic
You don't see how easy I can make a sky scrapper
And put you down where you belong.
My story is how the vision is so blurred
How you never understood how I saw this world
Your response is how could he see anything different
How could you see anything else unless it was a new shoe.

Forgive me if I'm rude for popping up like this... Just wanted to say something is all...
If i've upset you, I'm truly sorry....and I won't do it again...
