Unoriginal Journal Title Here
children and selflessness
An unborn, non-existent child does not need to be created. So why is having a child considered a selfless endeavor?

There is no reason that parents have children that isn't a reason for THEMSELVES.

People who have children so they can have something "to take care of" are the most selfish of all. If you want to take care of something, GIVE CARE TO PEOPLE AND ANIMALS WHO ARE ALREADY IN THE WORLD!

That's one way of viewing it. I always try to step in another person's shoes.. (Despite my large feet)

I suppose they would consider it a "selfless endeavor" not just because of the act itself but what comes to follow.

First off~ When the life is created by an act of love, or however you want to consider what has happened. You brought something non-existent into existence. Which maybe selfless~ Because after all. You do not need to create, but you do not need to not not create lol.

Then of course as I said for the act that follows. Yes caring for something is a mother and father's natural desire, but it does take a lot, and I mean A LOT of responsibility. Good bye to regular bed times, and free time. At least till the little thing goes to school.

TL biggrin R I agree with you, but I also have a second opinion which might give some insight.
