Electric ~Chapter One
So I'm going to my mom's house this weekend so to all my buds: Happy Easter!! Anywayz, so I was focusing on a bit of a new story and I wanted to test some out here before I continue. Ready?

Exasperated, she shoved the pencil away from her and laid her head down on the table with a sigh. Yet again she was doing another sketch and they never seemed to turn out right anymore. Her friend, who was probably the best artist in her class, had a completely different style from her yes, but she also had more experience and the stamina to try her hardest on every little thing. Ami was just not that dedicated. Many a times she felt like she should quit the class but she never gave up, struggling to improve not only her drawings but herself as well. Never give up! That saying recorded itself over and over in her mind so many times just hearing it was annoying and it resulted in another heavy groan. Her friend glanced over to her, emerald green eyes blinking in curiosity as she watched Ami in interest.

"What are you doing?" she questioned, dropping her own pencil and turning her own attention to her comrade.

Ami's violet eyes moved idly up to her friend's nearly flawless face before she let out another exasperated heave of air. She wished she looked like that. Maybe then her boyfriend would shoot her more looks than Moko. Well that was, if she had a boyfriend. Technically he was little more than a crush she had since she was in grade school but she could tell they'd never be. Especially not with Moko around. Tall, almost perfect Moko with long golden hair pulled into a side ponytail and jade-like eyes. Long delicate fingers that sketched out beautiful cartoons and an intelligence to match. The freckles that dotted the slender bridge of her nose and slightly pink cheeks made her absolutely special.

"I give up." she finally groaned, laying her head back into the crooks of her arms.

"Come on. You can't quit that easy. You'll fail this class!"

Ami shrugged, lifting her head up to face her friend as a frown furrowed her face and her eyes gleamed with a sudden sadness. She would never be as good as her friend. She was Moko's exact opposite! Short height, blue hair and violet eyes. Her drawings were always sketchy and she was hardly the top of her class but she got by with a few A's once in a while. She had nothing special about her besides her eyes and even those would cause people to avoid her, fearing she was demented.

"It's just..."

RING!

The bell released the students and she balled her fist in triumph, throwing her stuff into her backpack before heading out to the door as quickly as she could. Of course, Moko Oshima with her long and slender legs made it to the door first and waited patiently for Ami. She smiled as if the class had never happened and the white of her teeth gleamed in a way that made her green eyes brighter. "Guess what!" she declared, holding her books tight to her chest. Ami Yoko pretended to think, honestly not interested in the least at what her friend had recieved from her suitors. Or so she thought she knew that's what it was.

"I'm buying an artibot!" Her face sparkled. Ami frowned, "An artibot? You can afford one of those useless things?"

They were exactly like humans, except they were artificial robots that caused women and men alike to swoon in their flawless presence. Ami envied and disliked them all at once. Her father had left her mother for a female artibot.

"Yes, and I'm getting one. I think they're interesting and nearly everyone has one these days! Look Ami you can't hold it against the bot for your dad running off and committing suicide. I mean, come now Ami. It was his decision and..."

Ami scowled, "Look, I just don't like them. They're a waste of metal and mon--"

BAM!

Ami's stuff went flying in all directions, her average-length blue hair flying over her eyes as she fell to the ground in a crumpled mess. Her green glasses flew across the room leaving her partially blind as she tumbled to the ground revealing everything under her skirt as she went. Moko laughed, scrambling to get her things as Yoko searched for her glasses. She touched a soft hand and looked up.

Corn-yellow hair that flipped up over eyes hidden behind sunglasses, he smiled apologetically at her and proceeded in picking up her things. "Sorry I didn't see you." He lifted her glasses to her face and she was met by a dazzling smile. He tilted his black sunglasses downward to reveal steely gray eyes that made Ami catch her breath. Yoko stumbled to her feet muttering masses of apologies. He chuckled.

"It's fine. It was my fault..." he paused dramatically, "I'm Shouji. And you are?"

"Yoko Ami." she replied in a squeaky voice, admiring the way his sweater hugged his tall frame.

"Yoko Ami." he repeated then his smile widened, "Well I have to get to class Ami. Maybe I'll see you around." He flashed one last smile at Ami then Moko before leaving.

"Who was he?" Oshima questioned once he was out of earshot.

"No idea," she responded, still slightly breathless, "but he was a total babe. "

((Ok so well?? stare ))
