Atonement...
I just watched the movie "Atonement" and I have to say...it was an excellent tear-jerker. I didnt cry like everyone else did, but I must say had this been my first sad movie, I would've definitely sobbed tonight. However, I've watched a lot of movies and tv shows where the endings are extremely sad. And for the most part I've cried to most of them. But eventually...you can't cry about it anymore. I can't cry about it because I'm a thinker. I spend almost endless hours pondering many different things. After the first few sad ones, you just sit there one day and think about what if it happened to you? What if something happened to your family? Your friends? What if something worse happened? What if because of one tiny incident, you caused the sorrow of everyone you ever knew or loved? Deaths even? Try thinking how sad could you possibly get, and then multiply it ten-fold. That is how much I have thought of. That is how much internal pain I've caused myself. Yes the movie was sad. And I feel horrible that I can't even cry in the end. How will I react when things like this really happen? Will I be emotionless? Angry? Sad? Will I not lose sleep over it? Questions, questions, questions...too many. I've seen and thought of horrible things done to people. Much worse than death. Sadly even though it's just a movie, situations like this happen and no one gives a damn...rapes happen, murders, thefts, kidnaps, betrayal, suicide...and most of it...caused by emotion. Whether it's an angry person who shoots up people to vent their frustration or if it's a sad kid who decides to take their own life. All because of emotion. Not always a bad thing. but it's also not always a good thing either. Logic is what people need. Common sense too. Ah look. So much garbage over a movie. I really am going insane. It's hard to tell. I say it's garbage but you could think it is amazing! Probably not but it's still a possibility. Anyway, enough madness for one evening wouldn't you agree?
