Holy potatoes BATMAN are you seriously reading this entry the last of three about my trip to MTAC without reading the first two?! Well if you are, shame on you go Here and then Here. first.
Now that thats over with I'll continue where I left off on my saturday entry. Before bed Julia and I showered and all that, it was two in the morning saturday er well sunday at that point. I had a picture of me taken with a action figure I got out of a 25 dollar grabbag. That I actually bought from the same seller at Anime Reactor.
Anyways we woke up early that morning at 8:30 we ate breakfast, showered and took a bus over to the convention. We wanted to get there way before noon because we thought the dealer room was closing then. It turns out it was an hour later then that but oh well. Julia and I walked around, talked with people and bought everything we wanted from there that we saw the day earlier. Julia got a manga, a messenger bag, and some other things. I picked up a DVD grab bag from the DVD vender, a figure of vincent from Advent children and some other small snacks and things.
Pretty much sunday was us running around buying what we wanted. I was dressed up as backstreetboy man and seemed to have lost to ability not to refer to myself in the third person anymore. We did watch the ramen eating contest though. Or at least the start and end.
The winner was a girl who ate 14 bowls I think. She threw up though, but the rules state if you want to stay in you have to eat that too. So she did, threw up again and ate that. What did she win? A T-shirt and anime DVD. rofl
At around three the dealer room was closed. There was no interesting panels left so we decided to call Julias mom and head to the nearest mall. Which was pretty large, I still had a big junk of my money left and was hoping to spend it there. The dealer room didn't have the mangas I wanted as they sold out the first day.
So we walked around the mall. I bought a Spider-man comic, three volumes from Death Note, and a hardback collection of Marvel's Secret War miniseries. After that we drove the rest of the way home and I proceeded to enjoy all the stuff I bought.
Picture time!
Thats an above shot of the Vincent cosplayer that was there. I took it on the second floor right next to the Consuite. They had free Rockstar energy drink there!
This picture was taken from the same place, towards the side of me. Is that person wearing an OMG?! It could very well be, I saw at least three others there.
Thats a cosplayer from trigun. She was a floor below me.
Another elevator shot. Why was I so obsessed with taking these?
Yeah this was when I was tired and had nothing else to photograph.
Heres a shot taken sometime in the hotel. It's off Julia, laying on the air matress I slept on. Reading a manga she got from the dealer room.
There I am holding one of the figures I got in the grab bag. It was a DBZ one but I still thought it was cool to get a massive figure in it.
Hmm that must of been saturday night. Infact, I think all the pictures so far are left overs from saturday. As I didn't wear my penguin slippers sunday and instead become that legendary super hero...
Backstreetboy man appears again! This time showing off his american pride. Notice how he casts himself in darkness to let true greatness shine with the american flag! A true patriot BACKSTREETBOY MAN must be! A hero for the people!
Of course when pictured alone his inner glory shines. What could he be thinking? Watch as he gazes on with his watchful eyes, ever watchful for evil!
And with that I think I shall conclude this entry. I still have maybe four pictures to share, nothing big or anything. Just a ramen eating contest and a shot or two that nearly look duplicates of one another. But I'll do those another time. I can't show off everything at once now can I? Then what would I write about!? HMM?
