And Then there were 2. ...+ 2
Awaking the next morning, Aussa immediately noticed two things. The first was that somone decided to join their camp out and was now sleeping next to Shalimar. The guest was actually a wounded Kisa wrapped up in a blanket with a heartless symbol on it. The second thing she noticed was that both Koopa and Calico were gone.
Just as she got up to examine Kisa she heard Calico screeching.
Koopa darted out of the bushes a few seconds later. She ran right over to Kisa and Shal and picked them both up, one in each arm. Calico was trembling on her head.
Before Aussa was able to ask anything, Koopa blurted out, "We need to get outta here now!"
They both took off into the forest. Aussa followed but had no idea why they were running, until she glanced backwards. It was another one of those snakes like the one they saw last night, only this time, it was as tall as a 4 story building. Large lime-colored beams flew from it's eyes, and everything that was hit faded away just as Whiplash did the last night.
They finally ditched the serpent and hid themselves in the bushes.
While Aussa and I rested, Kisa told us
what happened with Chazu and Zuchax. Her story was interupted by Lex's laugh and the uprooting of the very bush we were hiding in.
A flurry of lime and yellowish beams shot straight toward Kisa.
Aussa had successfully pushed Kisa out the way, only to be hit in the back. Shalimar tried to catch Aussa, but right before she fell into Shal's arms, she had completely dissappeared.
The snake laughed and hissed, and Lex's voice spoke to us.
"Alright ladies, who's next?"
Koopa's eyes flashed red as the snake's head lunged toward her. She blow fire at the snake, making it melt into one large puddle, and sighed in relief, but Lex's laugh was still heard until it gradually dissappeared.
Taking Shalimar's and Kisa's hands, and Calico still sittin on her head, she headed into the nearest town, which happened to be the isle of Gambino.
"I'm gettin tired of this crap, and I'm not letting Him get you two."
Calico squeaked as if he were being ignored, then Koopa looked up at him and smiled. "No no, Cali, I didn't leave you out. I got a special plan for you..."
