Sir Kent's Poetry and Story Journal
Just as the title states, it's a journal that houses the poetry and "Work in Progress" stories that I have written.
Stolen Love Part 5
We woke up early the next morning eager to start towards Brimera. I sensed that Gaufwyn seemed less than eager to be going back, but I was certain that the guards would hear us out. We left the small town behind and followed the road. "Hey, so where are you from Gaufwyn? You said you were passing through Brimera when you were kicked out." Gaufwyn seemed a bit hesitant to respond but finally said "Honestly, I'm not sure. I've never really known anything outside of who raised me. I was raised in a camp of travelling wood elves. They said they had found me when I was a child and couldn't find anyone nearby. That's really about all I know about my past." Jean put a hand on his shoulder. "I'm sorry buddy, that must be pretty hard." I shuffled my feet awkwardly because I had no idea what to say in this kind of situation. "It's fine, I'd be lying if I said I didn't want to know my parents, anyone would, but I'm also a bit angry about it. I wasn't even put up for adoption, I was just found in the woods. What kind of parents do that?" Jean frowned "I'm sorry I brought it up." "It's fi-" Gaufwyn stopped mid sentence. "Did you hear that?" he asked. "Hear what?" I asked, freezing in place and looking around. "It sounded like rustling leaves coming from the west." Jean stopped and closed his eyes. It was something weird that he did whenever he needed to focus. Jean quickly turned to the left and crouched, pulling his maul off his back. "SHOW YOURSELF NOW!" Jean bellowed. There was a bit more rustling and then a dwarf emerged from the woods. He was average sized for a dwarf, with medium, disheveled, brown hair, and a long brown beard adorned with decorative ornaments that caused his beard to fork towards the bottom. "Oi, no need to be waving that thing around, I ain't causing anyone any problems. Just out for a stroll." Jean looked him up and down carefully. "I never heard of a dwarf going for a walk in the woods, at least not of their own accord." The dwarf sighed. "Fine, you got me. I got a little drunk last night." Gaufwyn started laughing when he said that. "Oi, something funny over there ya tall b*****d?" Gaufwyn caught his breath. "Well, you said you got 'a LITTLE' drunk. I thought it was funny. You know, because you're a dwarf." The dwarf looked at me "Is he always like this?" I shrugged "Couldn't tell you, he just joined us a day or so ago." Jean cut in "I'm sorry mister..." He waited for the dwarf to say his name. He didn't say anything. "I'm sorry, I don't think we caught your name" I said. "Didn't have a chance to say it. I keep getting cut off." "Well, what is your name?" I asked. "Grahmbrewson" the dwarf said. Gaufwyn tried not to laugh. "A fitting name for a dwarf, isn't it? You even got alcohol incorporated in it." "I'm really started to hate you." Grahmbrewson said glaring at Gaufwyn, who smiled and bowed. "I can't help but notice your clothes" Jean said, referring to the red robe lined with purple fabric he was wearing. "What about them?" "Nothing, it's just unusual to see a dwarf wearing robes. Are you a mage, change?" Jean inquired. Grahmbrewson laughed. "HA, me, a mage? That's hilarious. No, I actually wear this robe to throw people off." He opened his robe to reveal crimson scale armor and a sheath on his back that I'm surprised we missed. "Wow, I can't believe we missed the sheath on his back" I said. "Not we, I noticed something. Thought he might be one of those weird mages who carries their staff under their robe." Jean said. "Yeah, I noticed something too, but I didn't know what to make of it, so I stayed quiet rather than sound stupid" Gaufwyn said. "First smart thing you said stretch." Grahmbrewson said. "So, what kind of sword do you use?" Jean asked. Grahmbrewson pulled out an iron broadsword from his sheath. "I crafted this myself. I had to make sure it was made to my size and I don't trust those human blacksmiths to make a broadsword to my specifications. The materials cost me a fortune, but it was worth it. I also made this" he said pulling out a silver dagger from his boot "You can never be too careful." Jean smiled at him. "I think we're going to get a long fine" he said giving him a hearty slap on the back. "Will you join us? We're actually going on an adventure now." I said. "Well, I was planning on getting blackout drunk later, but I think you guys will need me more." "Excellent. Time to continue our journey to Brimera." With that we set off down the path with our new companion.

Jack was pacing around the throne room when the door opened and a line of women walked in followed by several guards. "Ah, I see you have finally rounded up a series of women fit for my...needs, shall we say?" Jack said walking towards the guards. "Yes sir, the best we could find from neighboring towns and cities" one of the guards immediately replied. "Well, let's take a look at what they had to offer" Jack said approaching the women. "Too skinny, too fat, hate your face, too young, too old, and...excuse me, which one of you brought the Green Skin back?" The guards looked taken aback at his comment. "E-excuse me sir?" "THE ORC" Jack barked back at him. "WHICH ONE OF YOU BROUGHT THE ORC? I HAVE VERY REFINED TASTE AND THIS SAVAGE CREATURE WON'T DO. WHAT'S THIS NEXT TO IT? A KNIFE EAR? DO YOU THINK I'M GOING TO TAKE SOME PROSTITUTE YOU FOUND IN THE SLUMS OF A CITY? NO! SO WHO'S IDEA WAS IT TO BRING THE GREEN SKIN AND KNIFE EAR BACK HERE?" The guards all looked down and began to shuffle their feet. "Sir, you never gave us any specifications as to what you were looking for" one guard said. Jack glared at him and hissed "So I need to give you specifications on every task that I give you now, is that it?" The guard gulped nervously. "Well, sir, you see, when it comes to stuff like this a bit more directive or detail would be nice so that we don't get this kind of reaction from you." Jack looked at the guard next to him "You, take him to the dungeon and prepare his execution for tomorrow. His head will make an excellent trophy as well as serve a reminder as to what will happen to you if you upset me again. Oh, and about the body, put it with the others." The guard saluted before taking the other guard out of the room. Jack sighed "I guess I'll take the knife ear. Send her to my chamber and I'll join her soon enough. I just have some business to finish up here."
