Hey, Cloud!
Just a short letter about Saturday. My dad had told me that I was going on a boat trip, but it wasn't. Me and about 130 freshman crammed into 16 vans and took of at about 8:30 pm. the theme, I guess, was pirates; but we didn't really do pirate stuff. First we drove an hour to Camp Pendleton near San Diego and went paintballing. I’ve never gone paintballing, and I thought I wouldn't like it. But as soon as I shot my first target, I was into it. Someone even complemented my aiming. Granted, I was at the target course and none of the targets moved, but I had a lot of fun.
Then we drove an hour back to the gymnasium at Saddleback Community College. That was dodge ball time. I am horrible at dodge ball. I can’t throw, catch, or dodge, and I am totally afraid of flying balls xd . So I pretty much sat on the sidelines. I tried drawing pictures. I had a good idea, but I couldn’t get it right so I gave up and tried writing you a letter. The first one was a little strange, the second one bland, so I gave up that, too. After that was finally over, we went to an open park.
The park was kinda fun. The first game we all played went like this: first, we took off one of our shoes. We threw them into a huge pile in the middle of where all our groups were. The fist group to get their shoe and have it back on their foot and sitting down won. When the instructor said “go!” everyone rushed to the middle. It was udder chaos! People climbed on top of each other and pushed and shoved just to get their shoe. People got injures, including me. Someone knee’d me just above the ankle. I was limping for a half hour after that. Finally the game was over, and since no one kept record of who won, nobody won.
The second game was more fun. You had an empty trash can in the middle of a ring of twelve people. Each person was connected by a short, knotted rope they had to hold on to, connected to the person next to them. Basically, the whole point of the game was to pull and tug at each other until either someone let go of the rope or someone touched the trash can. If anyone did, they would be out. That was also very fun! But the last part was the most fun.
The beach was probably the most fun. Gigantic waves crashed the shores, causing the unexpecting victims and their belongings to get soaked! There was a bonfire, and smores, and all the marshmallows you could ever want. There were also hot dogs, but you had to cook them over the fire yourself. The heat got so unbearable that I tried bribing people to cook it for me. I finally got someone to cook one for me for free, and I headed toward the shore.
This was one of those times I wanted a camera. The whole trip I couldn’t stop thinking about you redface . So, because I was bored and I was thinking of you, I wrote your username in the Californian sand. It was all fun until a huge wave washed it and me away. I landed on my butt, soaking wet, next to where the writing was. So I tried to write it again! In a way, you were at the Pacific Ocean. But enough of that redface mrgreen
Finally, it was nighttime and the sun had just set. I told some jokes next to the fire, and one times everyone thought one was so insanely they laughed for like a full 2 minutes! Two people in that group had really crazy, loud laughs, so it made it funnier. It was hard to finish the joke because they were laughing so much. Finally it was time to leave, and I tried the joke on a different group of people, and they just stared at me blankly. I guess you have to have the right kind of humor…
Anyway, that was what happened Saturday. I got home at 10:30 at night, and I had to take a shower. I had to wake up at 6:00 in the morning because my dad has a shoot, so it’s 8:37 on Sunday morning when I write this to you. I’ll be on for most of today. See ‘ya! mrgreen
With love, Lilly
(p.s. this is a letter i wrote to someone, the people in this letter know who they are mrgreen )
