The Legacy of Marco
To challenge the Dragon, 'twas the Gallant Knight's Quest.
Over mountains and through forests, onward he pressed.
Five days and five nights, his journey did require.
To the Dragon's resting place, atop the Infernal Spire.
At the Peak, Marco's foe came to be awake.
Upon sight of the Knight, the Dragon thus spake:
"The ninth foolish human you are to my roost ascend.
Take your leave of me, vile cretin, or your body I shall abscind."
To which Gallant Marco retorted: "Your request I must deny,
For else it is the King's wishes I would defy."
"Defy your pompous King, oh Valiant Knight,
Or to the Heavens shall your soul take flight."
"Silence, Dragon, lest you bewish a battle.
I wish not for words, but to test my mettle."
A hearty Dragon's Roar Marco's words did spur,
And the Hellish Wrath did he also incur.
The clash was one most grand,
Surely to be the Valiant Knight's final stand.
Stories did not lie for the Dragon was most fierce,
And trouble Sir Marco did have for the Dragon's Scales he could not pierce.
Truly it seemed all was doomed.
That is, until an idea in his mind loomed.
Gallant Knight Marco would strike the wings of the armored beast,
For there was his foe weak'st.
The Knight cut and slashed, stabbed and prodded,
Until with a heavy breath, the Dragon weakly trodded.
With all his might, Sir Marco knocked the Dragon from the Summit,
And without wings, to its death it did plummet.
Five days and five nights did Marco travel,
To return home where a story he would unravel.
To his claim, Gallant Knight Marco held high the mighty Dragon's Horn,
and thus the praised Legacy of Marco was born.

The Origins of Marco
To the outer world he did traverse,
Into a minded Fairy Tale did he immerse,
A Reality known as Backyard,
A Fantasy of Kingdom Valgard.
The voyage to Hilltop, four minutes were spent.
Four days: The Illusion the mind had sent.
A story was unfolding of a Gallant Knight.
To battle a Dragon was his plight.
Both Man and Dragon, although plastic in make,
Were the key players in a world not so seemingly fake.
They were foes in a battle most great,
With an outcome carrying a tragic fate.
A Gallant Knight against the mightiest of beasts.
Truly one of the most difficult feats.
Despite all his strength and valor,
The Knight struggled against the Dragon's power.
Its Hellfire Breath could not make the Knight give in,
But it could torch his armor and sear his skin.
Beneath all the steel was pain unseen.
The burning and boiling flesh was truly obscene.
Dragon's Claws, with little opposition, ripped right through.
With wounds so great, the Valiant Knight realized there was no more he could do.
Aware of his forecoming death, the Knight surrendered,
As 'DINNER,' a disembodied voice thundered.
The very essence of Time itself was impeded;
Two figurines left on a hilltop, their fight never to be completed.
