Broken Family
Zapook walked into the lounge room with a cup of tea and sat on the floor next to Aussa, who was playing Kindom Hearts. "Mornin Aussa."
Aussa spoke slowly, barely looking away from her game. "Morning..."
Zapook waved one paw in front of her face and giggled, "Into your game huh?"
"Yeah..."
"Heheh...ah well. I know Tina's up. How about Koopa?"
Just as she finished that sentence, Koopa's yelling echoed throughout the whole house. "I'M NOT A ******** CAT FISH! STOP CALLIN ME THAT!"
Zapook shoke her head and stood to her feet. "Nevermind."
Following Koopa's and Tina's hostile yelling, she found herself in a guest bedroom. Tina was looming over Koopa in her naga form and Koopa was standing on all four, growling up at Tina with her tenticle for a tail twitching angrily.
Sighing, Zapook causually walked in between them, "Look, you two...please stop?"
"I'm gettin tired of people callin me that."
"You know sis, It wasn't my intention to upset you. I was just making a joke."
"IT'S NOT FUNNY!"
Zapook held Koopa by the shoulders. "Cool it! just calm down. I really don't want to see you two fight."
Tina leaned for, speaking into Zapook's ear, "Um...isn't it usually you and sis that promote violence and blood shed?"
Zapook nodded, "Well, yeah, but not between two sisters. I mean for Aslan's sake, you're family. Family should stay together. And you two, you should look out for each other me." Her tones becomes harsher as she turns to Koopa as well. "Why are lucky. You are actually on fairly good terms with each other, and look out for each other. There are some people that can't even show thier faces around family without fearin for thier freakin lives! So put this petty crap aside and show each other some love for once!!!"
As Zapook stormed out the room, Tina and Koopa glance at each other and Koopa mutters, "...What just happened?"
Later that day, Zapook was sitting on the edge of the balcony, kicking her feet, and eating sardines. Koopa silently made her way up to the balcony and sat next to her, now in her normal form.
Koopa hesistated to talk but finally said, "You're ok, right?"
Zapook's voice was soft and sad. "Yeah...I'm ok."
"Sure? ....What was that outburst about earlier?"
"...I just don't think two sisters should fight."
"Me and Tina fight alot, but don't be upset by it. We also help each other out."
"...My sister...." Zapook lowered her head
"Hmm? Your sister?"
"...My sister Aunit"
"Aunit?"
"...Imagine Tina, with black hair, and black skin which shows quite a few battle scars, and has white eyes and an evil aura around her?"
"...Damn..."
"If you think Tina is mean to you...you should see how Aunit treats me..."
"I'm sorry...So you two don't get along?"
"She tries to kill me...not playfully like you and Tina, she hates me..."
"...She's the reason you've been here, isn't she?"
"Yes...That and...Noir..."
"...Noir? Oh, Forby's other. Lemme guess. You broke up with your boy friend as well."
"No...Noir is ....dead"
As a tear streamed down her face, Koopa hugged her and patted her on the back. "I am so sorry..."
"He liked the girls you know....succubus got to him..." She hugged Koopa back and cried softly on her shoulder. "I don't know what to do! Without Noir, I'm defenceless...Aunit will kill me!"
"Shut up with that. We're not gonna let her come anywhere near this house. Why does she want to kill you anyway?"
"Her condition...she nearly dies everyday...I refuse to help her because of how dark her hear is..."
Koopa hugs Zapook tighter before letting her go and petting her on the head. She lays her head on Koopa's shoulder, trying her best not to cry anymore.
"I miss Noir...and the friendship me and Aunit used to have."
"I bet..."
"I'm alone, Koopa..."
"No....no you're not....trust me on that one..."
