Dear Diary,
My father and i fell the ground and it woke everyone up. " Ehh! What's goin' on?" asked Mr. Gibbs. " I don't know!" exclaimed my father and tried to get up and once he did, he went up the stairs quickly and froze in his steps when he reached ouside. Everyone went outside and we all knew we were doomed. There was a huge ice burg coming toward us! My eyes widen. " What..what do we do?" asked Elizabeth. My father looked so scared and confused and flusterd all at once. " Shouldn't we go back to Port Royal?" I suggested, remembering my mother telling me that Jack was around that area. Everyone looked at me. " What do you know, little girl?! Shut up!" exclaimed one nasty pirate. " Leave her alone, just leave her alone." said Will. He looked at Jack. " Jack, we need to get back to Port Royal unless...we're doomed!" exclaimed Will. I walked over to the railing of the boat and looked into the water. " I think that will be rather hard." I said. Everyone else got there and gasped. " THE WATER IS ALMOST FROZEN!" exclaimed Mr. Gibbs. " We mustn't give up, though! We have to go!" exclaimed Elizabeth. My father nodded and commanded a couple things for the pirates. Everyone was rushing around, doing their jobs. I rushed to my father. " What should I do?" I asked. He looked at me. " Stay safe. One of those snow thingys...uh what are they called?" he said, thinking. I smiled. " Bolders?" I asked. " Yep! That's the one! One of those snow bolders can break off and hit against the boat and then the icey cold water can come and...well...then you'll freeze to death." he said. My eyes widen again with worry. I tried to stay brave. " I must do something!" I exclaimed, being all piratey and noble. " Look, little girl, ... you're a little girl! You listen to my commands! And my command is to stay safe! You are lucky! I would asign something dreadful, like I'm doing to the other pirates, but im not cruel!" he said, codly and sightly raising his voice at me. I flinched and gulped. " Yes, Captain." I said, softly. He nodded toward me in approval and walked away. I stood around, stupid. Just because I am " little" has they say, I can't do pirate things! And why couldn't my father call me his daughter or protect me like Will does? he just thinks of me as a little girl. I wanted to be brave! I tried to think. I looked around and saw a sword on the table. I grabbed it and knew just what to do! I once read somewhere in a book that when you cut an ice burg and reaches the water, it dissolves and leaves. We were close to the ice burg and I could do that! It wasn't a HUGE thing, but it was pretty big! I knew I could do it! Everyone was rushing around, screaming sailor talk and I didn't understand anything they said. They didn't notice when I took the dingy from the boat and got into it. I felt the water and my lips turned blue. It was absolutely freezing! You definetely wouldn't want to swim in it! I got the paddle in the dingy and started to paddle away to the ice burg. Still, no one noticed. I would be a hero! My father, might actually want me as his child! I got the ice burg and shoved the sword into it and some pieces gave away and dissolved and i smiled. Then, I heard frantic voices. They finally noticed. " LILY-ROSE!" I heard Will screamed and Jack, Elizabeth and everyone else. I didn;t btoher to turn back and then, a huge piece came on and hit the dingy and destroyed it. " What the hell are you doing?!" screamed Jack. The boat gave away and i fell into the deep water. I screamed when I touched it. " I'll go!" said Will, getting ready to save me. Jack stopped him. " No! I will!" he said and before Will could say another thing. Jack dropped into the freezing water. He finally reached me and I was gasping for air. He grabbed me and held me tight and we both swam back to the black pearl. The pirates helped us up and we were both shaking uncontrolably. I noticed something. MY CAPE! I looked back out sea and I saw it. I screamed and was about to jump off the boat when Will stopped me. " No! Don't! It's your life...or your cape..." he said. I looked at him. " My cape!" I exclaimed and jumped into the water. " The girl's mad!" exclaimed Mr.Gibbs. I struggled to swim the deep and freezing, FREEZING water, but I had to! That thing was the only thing I had left of my mother! I couldn't leave that cape. I grabbed the soaked cape and started to swim back when something grabbed me and pulled me underneath the sea.
