Capt. Deep sailed on and the day was perfectly clear over the rest of the sea, except for the dark storm cloud over the island, but that was quickly shrinking into the horizon, as and astrolabe was used to determine their position on the sea.
Capt. Deep used her map, and her instruments to determine where they were as well, and soon they established that they were close to Britain; close enough to be met by the commodore.

In two hours, the British coastline was visible, and so was something south of them; the commodore’s ship.
When Griffith (he was training to be the lookout on Will’s crew) set out an alarm for the commodore’s ship, Capt. Deep left the wheel to Dojer.
She headed down to her room, and confronted Will, who was trying to clean himself of the scents and perfumes and other dressings placed upon him on the island. He had his clothes laid out before him, and his island attire was still present. “Will, we’ve spotted your father’s ship. You can address him now, because you may not have another chance to do so, not with me there to help you anyway.”
Will looked up from the washcloth he was rubbing over his arms. “What are you talking about? What do you mean I won’t be with you?”
“Will, we’re about to reach the British coastline, and the key to open the treasure chest.” Capt. Deep explained. “It’s what I’ve been waiting for ever since I got this ship. But, we will meet again. We’ll think of something.”
Will paused. “I can’t let him see me like this. I could change into my other clothes, but I’ll still smell like the food he eats at home.”
“I understand what you mean, Will.” Capt. Deep said. Capt. Deep ran her hand through his hair and left to fight the quickly approaching commodore.
