Ah, yes.
I purchased and read the first volume. You might be saying "What is this strange and unfamilar thing she speaks of?". Allow me to fill you in.
Buso Renkin is a manga by Nobuhiro Watsuki, the creator of Rurouni Kenshin, and one of my all time favorite artists. It's esentially completely different than Ruroken, considering it takes place in current times instead of the Meiji Era and is about alchemy (nothing like Fullmetal Alchemist except for there being homunculi, but even they're different), but it is still by Watsuki-sama (heh heh) and therefore a holy relic. 3nodding
I have mainly one thing to say: I'M ADDICTED TO IT LIKE I WAS TO FRUITS BASKET.
Not that it's as good as Kenshin, that's impossible, but the main character, Kazuki Muto, despite having the same last name as the King of Games (Ha ha, Yugi you poor sap! xd ), is quite clueless like Kenshin, yet at the same time naive and chipper like Misao. Although, his one friend/secondary-character has the Ultra Pompadour (Ha ha, Ryu from Shaman King all over again.) the character designs are pretty original and fun. And, of course, his art is uber awesome. 3nodding
So when you get the chance, buy it. You won't regret it. Unless you suck at reading 100% authentic manga style or you don't like violence. Neither are a problem for me. Especially the violence part. 3nodding xd
