Aye, t'is right! Today be National Talk like a pirate day. The only day of the year other then Hallowe'en when ye've got an excuse to speak like cutthroats, brigands, Barbary corsairs, Buccaneers and thieves by any other name. The day that ye can go about the streets, cutlass at yer side, pistol in your belt and a parrot on yer shoulder without people givin' ye funny looks.
True, it ain't called Dress Like a Pirate day, but what be the point of talking like a pirate if ye can't look like one? T'is exactly my point.
So, put on yer tricorn, grab some rum and have a happy September 19th, ye sorry bunch of mainlanders.
