After dinner, I was told to stay with Master Artemis that night. I did not have any objections, but though inside I wanted to stay with my Master. As the hover car drove, my master pointed out a large building with four pillars. Though it was night, the lights made it quite bright and luminous. I was very amazed by the sight. "That's the Jedi Temple," he said to me. My eyes widen even more when he said that. I couldn't believe that huge structure would be my home, my school, and where I would train to become a Jedi. So many emotions came through me as we passed by it, but the one I remember the most was happiness. I had found a new home where I would be welcomed for my gifts, instead of judged and treated badly for being a "freak".
We arrived to where I was to stay soon afterwards. Master Artemis had a residence near the temple, but it was on a different complex. We got off the the hover car made a u-turn to go back to the temple. My master had to schedule a meeting for me the next day to see the council.
That night was one of the most ordinary nights I ever had. Master Artemis and I talked about my life and she told me stories of hers. She told me how she met my master, how they became friends, and how my master refused to be on the council, even though he was over qualified. We slept a little early to make up for the jet lag we had during the trip. The next day, I woke up on my normal time. I had one of the best night's rest on Master Artemis' bed. When I had left her room, she had already been out on the balcony and meditating. I didn't disturb her, instead I made breakfast.
After we started to consume our meal, my Master came. He greeted us with a bright and happy face, much in contrast as the face I saw when he defeated that Sith Apprentice. He came in and said that my time to see the council would be in three hours. Anxiety then fell over me. It was finally time, and now I was really nervous.
The three hours passed by quickly. As soon as I knew it, I was already outside the council chambers and was waiting on a bench with my master. "Calm down," He told me. "There is nothing to be afraid of, they are just going to examine you." He added. "But what happens if I fail?" I asked in return. My master then looked at me and smiled. "Do not be afraid to fail, all of us do at one point in our lives. It is part of the cycle the Force puts us through." Those words brought some comfort to me. I don't know what, but my master's teachings always stayed with me throughout all my trials and turbulations.
The receptionist called my master to her desk. "It's time," He said telling me to get up. Nervously, I stood and walked towards the side of my Master. "You ready?" He asked with a smile. I nodded. As the door slid open to the chambers, both my Master and I walked through with my future ahead.
