As I sit staring at the mirror on the wall,
I soon curl-up into a very small ball.
What I see others really do not,
The images of myself make my mind rot.
The thing I saw in the mirror was Frankenstein,
But yet you take the time to call me your valentine.
The things you see in me I do not comprehend,
It even boggles my mind why you’re my friend.
I take this all in very much glee and at heart too,
For as long as you accept me I accept you.
With you by my side I will never “take a fall”,
Count on me, and you will never have your “back against the wall.”
So with this commitment formed recent and anew,
I look in the mirror again and now have a changed view.
No longer do I see Frankenstein or a bad view,
I see what I love, deep in my heart…. I see you.
Now sorry will turn three times fold into bliss,
And from you, it will only take one sweet kiss.
I bury all my emotions and ties into you,
With some patients and time we will work it through.
I take time now and express what you now see,
“For to be without love, is simply not to be.”
