*does stupid dance across the screen* Okay. We've been off since wednesday but I was out of town. To anyone who noticed, I'm back. So now you get a backlogged description of three thanksgivings, two roadtrips, three days with toddlers, a Panic! at the Disco concert (not a word Kasey. stare ), and I guess I'll throw in a partridge in a pear tree.
Tuesday night: Mom came home from work and packed up the last of our road tripping gear. She was supposed to get some sleep before we headed out, but she didn't. So we threw it all in our baby mustang Sally and drove off into the night. This was around 1:30 AM.
Wednesday morning: The trip from where we live to what we'll always think of as home is around eight hours each way. By the middle I'm either asleep or pretending to be. Mom woke me up for a few pretty sights and state lines. But after a while, I was down for the count. I woke up after around two hours of actually being asleep when I heard this AWFUL grating sound. I sat up really fast and turned straight to mom saying, "Are you okay?!" She had dozed off at the wheel while we were driving past the cliffs near Nanny's house and the car had veared onto the gravel emergency lane between the gaurd rails before she woke up. We got to Nanny's and she went straight to bed while I unloaded the car. Then I did the same.
Wednesday night: Mom and I woke up around 4:30 PM and went to go visit sis, Micheal- Paul, and their baby Adeline. (Addy) Her cutsie picture is at the bottom. This may sem like a bad time to visit them, but they both keep odd hours. We stayed there until around 1:30 AM. Fussy little Addy liked me and fell asleep on my lap. Then mom and I went home to Nanny's.
Thursday (Thanksgiving): Micheal-Paul's family invited us to have dinner with them. Dinner was really around 1:00 PM and it was good. Around six, my friend Tara, sis, Addy, and Aunt DeeDee came over for a little Thanksgiving at Nanny's. Everyone went to their houses around midnight and mom and I packed up our stuff again.
Friday: My aunt Heather was having Thanksgiving a day late so almost everyone could come. She and Uncle Rich live about two hours away from Nanny's so Aunt DeeDee, Uncle Hutch, and I got an early start. We got there around 11:00 AM and split up. Uncle Hutch went straight towards the game on the plasma widescreen, aunt DeeDee and Aunt Heather went into the kitchen for a few hours and I was left to entertain 3 year old Grayson. Grayson and I went to the basement and watched Cars with his little sister Katey-Claire. Then we played hide and seek and tag and other games like that until their nap time. About half-way through nap time, mom, sis, Addy, and Aunt Kimi all showed up. Everyone split up again and I ended up watching all three kids. Oh well. Uncle Rich got home around 4:00PM and we ate dinner, then sis took back Addy, Aut Heather took back Katey-Claire, and Uncle Rich, Uncle Hutch, Grayson, and I went for a hike in the woods behide the house. Mom and I left around 6:00 PM to go back home.
Saturday morning: I slept through some of the trip, so when we got home, mom went to sleep and I unloaded the car. Around sunrise I took a nap. When I woke up around 10:00 AM, my friend Nate was already calling me, planing for the concert. The concert was at 7:00, so we were leaving around 6:00, Nate came over around 5:00 and we got ready. Mom gave us a ride and we got to our area, we had standing room only tickets mom had gotten me for my B-day back in September, she got them the day they went on sale (my B-day) and I heard they were sold out within the week. Not sure about that though. It was Nate's first concert and my first one without mom and sis. But I did go to lots of concerts with them when I was little, Lollapaloza 3 times, ozfest once, and tons of little outdoor concerts. I've heard Greenday and Rancid in the same day. Beautiful.
Saturday night: When we went to this one, the first opening band sucked and the speakers were so loud we felt the music almost as much as we heard it. We got through that one and half of the next one before Nate got bored. So he went crowd surfing. If you know me, you know I didn't, I was one of the ones pushing people along. I got stuck in the middle of the crowd during the actual show. I was so psyched when they started covering Eleanor Rigby by the beatles. The video for that is so going up on my profile. There was also an awesome moment when the lead singer and Hotish cute guitar guy kissed... tiwce... It was 11:00PM when it ended. Nate and I went back to my house, had dinner and watched Monty Python. Then he went home, I cleaned up and went to bed.
Sunday: So now I'm catching up on online stuff and making sure everything's ready for school tomorrow and trying to finish the books my friends lent me. And I suppose I mentioned a partridge in a pear tree, so yeah, some stupid bird woke me up this morning, maybe it was a partridge, I know it was in our bradford pear tree, so... yeah...
Look at the cutsie wootsie Addy!!!
