I love Amazon... heart

~The story!~

Alright, my dad ordered me some manga from Amazon.com, right? Well, I wasn't supposed to get it until a week from now, but it came yesterday!! whee And in the box of intellectually stimulating goodness was... BUSO RENKIN VOLUME THREE!! *jumps up and down* xd

I adore that series! Nobuhiro Watsuki is my all time favorite manga artist and he's more awesome now then he was doing Rurouni Kenshin because he got all the experience for fight scenes from Ruroken in the first place!! Oh my God, I love it!!! heart

My favorite character so far is totally Kazuki. *laughs* He's a goofball. And I'm soooooooooooooo freakin' happy that he's not like any of Watsuki's other characters; none of his other creations are even close to Kazuki. It kind of irritated me in Ruroken that then exact same mindframe was set for most of the male characters. Most were calm and collected in some way, but not Kazuki, no siree! He's a nerd and chicken, but he's still awesome! Now don't get me wrong, not all of his male characters were the same, not even close, but Kazuki is just totally different from Kenshin, Sanosuke, Yahiko, Aoshi, Shishio, etc etc etc.

And Tokiko! Finally a kick-a** leading lady from him! Yes!! Sure, in Ruroken Kaoru and Misao kicked some fair amounts of a**, but not like my girl Tokiko!! As she says, she'll "spatter your guts"! Part of it may be the era difference; Ruroken is in Meji Japan and Buso Renkin is in mordern times. But that does not excuse it!! Ruroken was all about the guys going out and kicking a**, but Buso Renkin is an equal oppertunity kind of manga. I love it.

Now one of my main concerns when I first started reading this series was if would be too similar to Fullmetal Alchemist. Both have alchemy and both have homunculi. But I quickly found out EEEEEE, no dice my man! Totally different! And the worst part is I can't decide which one I like better! Don't get me wrong, Fullmetal Alchemist rocks my socks just as much any other otaku's, but Buso Renkin... It rocks my socks pretty hard as well, my friends! heart

But nothing will ever conquer my heart and soul like Ruroken did. Not even Princess Tutu sucked me in as quickly as Ruroken did. eek I think Ruroken is my favorite manga, but Tutu is still number one in the anime department and I can almost guarentee that it will stay there for all time. But Buso Renkin is climbing that obsession ladder, oh yes indeed!

I need to stop before my head explodes in a bloody, fan induced bio-hazard. sweatdrop

~In closing!~

If Kids WB doesn't start showing some new episodes of Leigon of Superheroes, I will hunt them down and decapitate them then throw their bodies in giant Easy Bake ovens... stare
