Basically, this is the first few pages of my 'soon to be romactic masterpiece'. I wrote most of this in my Psychology class because I nothing better to do. It's kinda first draft so I still need to do some editing but I'm introducing my main Character, Christoph. He's being all emo at the beginning and I'm not gonna tell you why. BTW, Im going home today and wont be on much anymore for a while.
Introduction
In the shadows cast by the enormous, thick trees of the forest, the young man was nearly invisible. He sat on frosted grass, hunched over, trying to return his breathing to a normal, slower pace. Instead, came gaspy spasms of breath, which made so much noise he was embarrassed, although there were none around to witness this pathetic event. There, the young man sat for hours, ignoring the freezing cold and attempting to focus his mind completely on the little pond that he sat by at times like this. It was serenely still and the beautiful silence was only broken by the occasional chocked sob. In the dull moonlight, he noticed that the grass looked black in a few places, and it only pained him further.
In the pond, he could see reflected perfectly, the sky. Scattered stars seemed to drown in the icy water; he sighed and threw a stone at them, meditating in the solid splash and the ripples. After a few moments, the ripples faded, and the stone sank, as would a forgotten memory. It would always be there, only covered and irritrievable. The young man could tell that the pond was deep as he watched the dark surface become calm again. Sighing again, he tossed in another stone and stared off at the sky in the direction of that accursed town; it was lightening very slightly and life would soon be awakening. It was his time to sleep, as he wanted nothing to do with life.
Christoph Hlanague's Final Entry
I know that to every beginning, there is an end, but as I have lived with immortality, the end of anything is a near impossible concept for me to fully grasp, although I would gladly embrace the statement that 'to every end there was a beginning' ....
