This is just a poem I thought up.....tell me what you think

As you held me in your arms
You leaned in and whicpered in my ear
"I will love you forever and for always"
And I whispered back
"Is that a promise?"
You just smiled and kissed my lips

Time passed and our relationship ended
But you still loved me
And I still loved you
You wrapped me in a hug
And you assured me that you were there for me
And I was happy

A couple years passed
I wanted you back
You were standing in the hallway
You seemed happy to see me
Yet Sadness showed in your eyes
As a girl stepped up and kissed your cheek lovingly

The world crumbled beneath my feet
I felt my heart break
It was at that moment I realized
Me and you were never meant to be
But I still loved you, and in my heart
I knew you still loved me too
