Another poem....this time it was inspired by a pic I saw.....later I may post the pic....

I held you in my arms
The warmth of your blood pierce my hands
The tears flowed form my eyes
A few landed upon your cheek

You placed your hand upon my cheek
And wiped a few idle tears away
Your other hand roamed to mine
You gripped it and looked into my eyes

You smiled your last smile
And sighed your last sigh
You closed your eyes and laid back your head
And silently slipped away

I held your limp body close
Fearing that if I were to let go
You'd drift away into thin air
You left this world, and you left me

The years have passed
And I lay here now
Breathing my last few breaths of life
And slowly, I slip away

Now we meet at Heaven's gates
Together once again
As we spend our eternal lives
Together in each other's arms
