My senior year is looking bright. Some USEFUL, new classes have been added (about damn time) to the high school. Ones I'm actually excited about taking. One, theatre/drama. Always, in the back of my mind, I wanted to be an actress. That or be a dentist. This class sounds so much fun... I know I'll love it and strengthen whatever skills I have in that area. Second, GERMAN! FINALLY! In the last year of my elementary education, the school was required to teach a language. For Monfort Elementary, it was German. GOD DID I LOVE IT. And now, I can pick up where I left off. 6 years later. That's okay, though, because I still remember it. I have a knack for languages, actually. And art. I'm creative and artsy like that.
My sentences are all choppy and short. I'm giddy and excited, can you tell?
In other news, I found myself strongly drawn to Hannibal Rising as of late. It comes out tomorrow and, for some reason unknown to me, I really want to see it. Normally, I hate scary movies. I guess it's because I'm a fan of the Hannibal series. It's so grotesque and lurid that it's interesting. But, sadly, it's rated R and I'm only a wee 16 year old. Sis is 17, 18 in March. If it's still playing then, maybe she can buy my ticket for me. 'Cause God knows my mum will NEVER go see a movie like Hannibal. She once told me she got nitemares from Silence of the Lambs. I watched it was basically unphased. Maybe because, being the serial killer lover I am, I knew that the story was based off good old Ed Gein and I was past being scared of him. I guess that's the good thing about being interested in something most people find apalling. You build up an immunity of sorts and you can handle more. For instance, I can talk for hours about Jeff Dahmer's cannibalism while eating BBQ with the family.
That's where I'll leave you tonight. Parting is such sweet sorrow.
