Shalimar's PoV
The world where Wynn and I had spent most of our lives on was called Riverworld--and it was quite strange. If a person was killed, they would wake up the next morning at a new location either upRiver or downRiver. The population was made up of humans who had died between 2 million BC and 1980 AD and were over the age of five years old. For the first two weeks, everyone was bald and naked but the pipes--or grails as they were eventually called--presented towels with magnetic tabs to make clothes with as well as everyone growing hair back out. When the caveman killed the two of us, I never saw Wynn again until the male hatchling pulled me through some kind of portal.

Closing my eyes and tilting my head a little to the right, I heard a ship full of fairies approaching the Nerissa Altsoba. They were discussing rescuing someone named Rilla and capturing someone else--

"Alive if possible," someone growled from the ship, "but dead is just as good."

"Get behind me all of you," I said. "Wynn, make sure Aunt Nogard doesn't eat any of the faries in the corner."

"What fa--oh, those faries!" Aunt Nogard said. I heard her take a step towards the faries but stopped as Wynn stepped between her and the unconsious faries.

Suddenly, the hangar door was blasted open--but the debris stopped harmlessly a few inches in front of me and fell to the ground. Almost right after, a spaceship appeared and opened fire. Like the debris, the plasma bursts stopped short of me. Suddenly, the ship's reverse thrusters came on in full blast as it was pulled helplessly inside the Altsoba. The ship was set down softly as pieces of of the bay door flew back into place and fixed themselves.

"Are you doing any of this?" mom asked Nissa.

"No," Nerissa replied.

Suddenly, the invading ship began to tear itself apart as fairies hidden within were drawn out and set by the unconsious faries.

"Nogard?" mom asked.

"Not me," Aunt Nogard replied.

"Don't look at us," Aunt Xangord said. As I turned to the corner of the hangar where the faries were now being held, I saw she had an arm around Xink.

"Wynn?"

"Wrong kid," Wynn said. "As far as I can tell, Shalimar's doing this without relying on magic. Like when I flipped you--I can just barely see her moving."

Ignoring the commentary, I walked over to the faries. Those who were unconsious were beginning to wake up. Two of them had their wands out and trained on me.

"You don't want to get into a power struggle with me," I said. "I've got the strength of nine elder wyrms in me. You will loose."

"Dragon needs to be brought to justice for what she did!" the female fairy yelled.

All the fairies were suddenly lifted off the ground one by one and floated over to the wreckage of the spaceship.

"Let us go or face the wrath of all fairies!" the male fairy yelled. "Rilla, my betrothed, and I, Yitra, will lead them!"

"Oooooo!" Wynn said sarcastically. "I'm so scared. Look! My knees are shaking!"

As the wreckage of the spaceship formed a protective shield around them, the faries were pressed together harmlessly. Once the shield was complete, the hangar door opened and the ball was ejected towards the planets surface.
