Here It Comes
Part 1
She awoke in a flash, her heart beating fast. She looked around franticly, to find no one in her room. She let out a sigh of relief, and pushed her blankets aside as quietly as possible. She pushed her short dirty blonde hair out of her face and crept to the door of her bedroom. She opened it up just enough to push her head through. Fortunately, no one was there. She threw on the first jaket she could find and tip-toeed to the stairs. She stepped so lightly and worriedly that you would think she was afraid of falling through the stairs. She pulled a small pen light from her pocket and made her way slowly to the back door. As she oped the door, she held her breath. As soon as the door was closed did she feel safe from discovery. Clutching her jacket tightly she advanced on the deck. The sky was still dark the stars brightly flashing. She sighed. This is what she lived for, open evenigs in the summer. Once on the ground, she lay down, the cold dew on the grass cooled her skin. She smiled again thinking how she loved to do this with her mom when she was little, and how she so sweetly call her name. "Oh Lindsey," she would say. But when she turned six, that all changed. When she turned six, her brother was hit by a car and killed. He was only four and a half, which hurt her mother so. After the accident, her mother started to grow away from her family. Stoped caring, and being so sweet. No longer cooking meals and doing normal motherly things, she turned to drinking. Often Lindsey and her father would come home to find her drunk in a chair. Her father got so enraged at this, and finally started letting out all of his greif, but in the worstw ay. He started to phisically abuse her mother. Lindsey would be up in bed when her parents would start fighting. She could hear her mother crying and father sreaming. One night it was so bad that Lindsey climbed out of her window and onto her roof. She sat there for an hour or two before finally climbing into bed. She thought finally that the fighty would end, that there would finally be peace in her house. But when she woke up in the morning her mother had disapeared. With her mother gone, her father started to abuse her. Lindsey did what she could to hide this, but she couldn't hide it from everyone. Her best friend started to notice a change in her right away. But he never told anyone, because she was worride about what would happen next. So he felt it as his duty to always be there for her. " Lindsey? Are you there?" Lindsey sat up and looked towards the tall fence, " Ya," she said quietly," Who's there?" " It's, Matt" Lindsey smiled, as Matt attemped to climb the fence. He finally made it up one side and sat there, laughing. Lindsey squinted in the dark, all she could see was this dark body, outlined by the moon. She watched him slowly teeter and then," WOAH!" With a loud thud Matt's body made contact with the ground, shattering two flower pots in the procces. Lindsey was laughing away, and laid back down. "You really know how to cheer me up don't you, Matt? You are just too funny!" There was a very awkward silence. Slowly she sat up. " Matt? Are you oaky?" There was no answere. Lindsey frantically stood up and ran towards him. "Matt? This isn't Funny!" She nealt down. In the dark she couldn't tell if he was moving. She started to cry. She was worried that an other loved one would would slip through her hands. She started to shake him violently. "MATT!"
To be contined...
