Hah! Those Easter and St. Patrick's Day events were such jokes...Towns has been down off and on during both, there are glitches like nobody's business all over the place, and the actual quests to get the items are silly. Some people, myself included, have resorted to continually (well, every 10-15 minutes actually) refreshing the link that pops up when you click on the floating shamrock/easter egg box. Why, you may ask? Basically it comes down to the very annoying fact that actually getting an egg/shamrock is too random...some people don't get any for hours, while others are buried in a deluge of eggy/shamrocky goodness at regular intervals. Bah, sez I! That's no way to do an event! At least with last 2k6's Easter Event, there were the bouncing eggs that you collected in a basket...that one was extra cute! n__n...and Christmas always has the nifty caroling option. And Valentine's was a good quest because the timer wasn't as long and even though the prize was mediocre at best, it was easier to get. I thought this was supposed to be fun? Well, the admins try, I guess, which is better than nothing, to be sure--though they HAVE been relying on a formula of sorts that perhaps isn't the best when it's used for everything. And I don't know about you, but those graphics up in the big circle on the top left? I wish they'd make them bigger...like, turn them into wallpapers or something. They put so much work into them, why wouldn't they want to show them off a little better?
