I wrote this when I was in a somewhat dark mood...Enjoy!
I cannot see you,
The dark is too strong,
This feeling is too wrong.
The dark creeps up my skin,
And I shiver,
It feels like the pricks of a pin.
I scream, knowing no one is there,
That doesn't make it easier to bear,
I wonder where the light is.
Light! I need you now!
To this darkness I will not bow!
Light! Come forth to me!
I am beginning to not see!
The dark has me in it's hold,
There's no more reason to be bold,
There's nothing that can save me now.
The I saw you,
Shining in your glory,
And the darkness peeled away like glue.
Light! You are here for me!
Happy I shall always be!
Light! You've saved my life!
There will be no more strife!
You carried me out of the pain,
And though it began to rain,
I lived, so, Light, I thank you.
