The Prophecy Part 1 continued

Chapter 9
A little bit of bad news

Warp, Serenity and I all had a nauseating ride through the portal on Temmeniea to Earth. Now as we sat near Atbrine High, I had a need to see my family and friends. So you can imagine the first thing I did when we appeared. That’s right I ran over to my house with Serenity and Warp close behind me. A few minutes later I was standing at my front door. I opened the door only to see that it was empty. Now that seem normal to you but my mother has never even left the house so as you can imagine that was odd to see. I stood in the door to my house gazing into the empty home.
“You do know they could easily be up on the top floor right.” Serenity asked.
I felt stupid after she said that. After checking that I was even more disappointed. I would guess that means we can’t go to FlashFlare for a while… I want my family back.
After searching around town I noticed that absolutely everyone was gone, animals, people, even paper, none was left. I was thinking to see what I have seen that had the power to do this.
“Maybe we could visit the place you mentioned, you know what you say is living hell.” Warp suggested.
The demons mansion, that is right. As we traveled up to the mansion we saw something that looked like the work of a shadow being. For some strange reason I knew its name… The Black Line Gem. Despite the name of it, it was looking like a pit; it made no sense to me what so ever. We went into the pit, as we fell our skin changed to pure black, and our eyes to a dark red. I have no clue why yet but I will find out soon, I hope. Anyway we finally managed to land somewhat safely on the ground. There was a sign there, you know like a street sign. It said: “Hi there, and welcome to The City of The Dead!”
Okay… I have no clue what it is talking about, is what I was thinking at the moment.
So how the crap do I do this…
“I give up.” I yelled.
Serenity glared at me. I shrugged at her not knowing why she was glaring; I took the hint and tried thinking of what to do.
“We best leave, get the shadow-being down here with us, try to use him to free these people.” Warp suggested.
She was right, this was a dark power, the shadows should know what to do. Oh but I can’t leave Mark in here. We began to look around for Mark, but found no sign of him.
“Mother, have you seen Mark anywhere?” I managed to find my mother; she told me that Mark had been sent to Shadow life as a sacrifice to the god Sin. I have no clue of anything about this god, I have never heard of him.
“What the heck are you talking about; we have one and only one lord, not two.” I screamed.
“Actually there are four gods we believe in; there are no different religions for us, just different worships.” Serenity explained.
I stared in astonishment at her; I didn’t think there would be five gods in this universe. But in order to manage to get Mark free we need to get to shadow life, but we to go through FlashFlare and meet Max first, god this is getting annoying.
Now one more problem arises, how do we get out of the Black Line Gem. I have no clue…
Well all I could think of was to search for some sort of ladder. But then of course, Warp came up to me and began to rewind the three of us.
“Don’t you dare do that.” Serenity yelled at Warp.
Warp glared, these two don’t get along very well.
“Do you have any particular reason for me to not do this?” Warp asked Serenity.
“Actually, yes, this is a very sensitive place, and trace of magical power will set it off, whether it be water or time, or fire or earth.” Serenity answered
“Is that so… oh that’s right, I forgot about the Will of Sin, it strictly prohibits magic in a dark and sinful area, or you shall feel the true power of what a shadow can do.” Warp said disappointedly.
“So how do we get out of here if both of you are prohibited from using your power.” I asked.
We were trapped in The City of The Dead. If we stay here to long we will become members of the city of the dead, or worse get sent to the 7th world. Or even worse than that… be cursed by the black line gem. Stupid gem.
“AJ, look at your arm, why is there a mini little knife sticking out of each of your arms?” Serenity asked me.
I shrugged.
“Wait what if I can use these little knives to climb up and out of this dreaded city.” I suggested.
“Well this could work for you but what about us.” Warp asked.
“I can carry one of you two up with me, which of you two ways less?” I asked.
“I do, I am only 20lbs considering I spend so much time in the water, most of my body is water, and I get tons of exercise unlike the Temmeniean, she only can bend time, she doesn’t get exercise.” Serenity pointed out to me.
“Actually, the fabrics of time make it so that I weigh virtually nothing in the hands of others, besides you have had your time with AJ, and, you will evaporate on FlashFlare.” Warp was right, Serenity can’t survive on a planet that could burn up the sun. Warp was going to come with me. Oh perfect.
I brought Warp over to the wall, and as toughly as I could, I slammed my arms into the wall of the ditch.
“Grab my waste, and hold on tightly.” I told Warp.
“Alright, Serenity, I will be able to rewind you up here as soon as we get to the top, okay, we will need you to get passed the barrier at FlashFlare, it is an enormous wall of fire.” Warp told her.
Serenity shook her head and we began to climb. It took a while for us to even get a quarter of the way up. By that time, my arms were nearly dead, I am not used to this much physical work.
“Are you alright AJ, we still have a long way to go, you need to hold yourself up here for a few more hours, can you do that?” Warp asked me.
By that time I was out of breath. This was a longer climb than the climbing rope in school, which I have never even finished.
“AJ if you don’t continue to move the wall will take us both into it, if that happens we are screwed. You need to keep going, look Serenity is watching you also.” Warp was trying to encourage me, I think I would much rather die than be in this position. However, Serenity is down there waiting, and if I can’t unite all four of the others that ultimate being will awaken and destroy them before I can get to them in the next life.
I continued to climb no matter how much it hurt my arms. I just hope this doesn’t take much longer.
It took a lot longer than I had hoped, I got out a day or two after I started to climb, I just hope the city hasn’t taken Serenity as a member.
As we reached the top Warp was getting ready to rewind Serenity’s body.
“I am very proud of your efforts AJ but trust me that was nothing compared to fighting Richter, or the spirit to the other dimensions. We have a long way to go. Are you sure you can do it all.” Warp asked me.
“I very highly doubt it.” I sad, muscles still aching with pain.
As she rewound Serenity I was getting ready to admit defeat even before we got to FlashFlare.
“Warp I am done with this, I can’t go on any further, I can’t even handle homework. Let alone this entire universe’s safety. I am done, and I apologize. I can’t go on, you take my job and then just please kill me, I would rather be dead than here right now with this destiny.” I told her.
“Is that so… I have been waiting for this day since you got that darn book. Now with you dying I can kill the rest of them.” A voice said, but it wasn’t Warp’s or Serenity’s voice, it was female however.
Out of the dark city I saw serenity arrive. Warp turned to me.
“How could you say that you want to quit right here we still have a long way to go. And now we have another threat here that we must stop, the Black Line Gem. You are destined to unite us all and make it through the six minor threats and the two major threats.” Warp yelled at me.
“Besides, you can’t leave me, I love you AJ, I can’t leave your side for a second, I am madly in love with you, oh please don’t go.” Serenity said to me.
“ I have no reason to be here and you have no reason to love me. I want to die, you two can do it with the shadow being and FlashFlare human, I will go with you two to get the others but when we rescue Mark I will stay behind and serve as that sacrifice they mentioned.” I screamed at them.
Serenity look at Warp, and said “Fine, it is your life and your choice, we will do it without you, get your only real friend back and then go ahead and ditch us, I thought you would be the hero the story mentions. Comes with us to the end and fights without himself in mind. And most of all I thought you would be my friend, and a little more to Serenity, but you are going to get yourself eaten instead.” Warp complained.
When she finish I looked around and listened to see what Serenity would say to me. All I heard was crying. Serenity was by a tree crying. Warp walked over to her and glared at me.
“AJ, I need to talk to you again. Listen, Serenity is an Aquari right. Aquari’s may be the kindest creatures known, but only one Aquari human will feel the emotion of love in twenty thousand years, Serenity happened to be that one, and she fell in love with you, a human with no self value and sense of care to a girl, now I know it may not mean much to you, but to a girl, heartbreak is the worst, especially if you are that one Aquari, she will fall in love with one creature and you destroyed her heart. So please for Serenity’s sake, stay, she needs you, Take it from somebody hated by everyone she meets, I thought that I had finally made some friends, if you quit though Serenity will kill herself because of the heartbreak, I am serious, stay with us the whole way through. We both need you.” Warp told me in a heartfelt speech.
“Serenity! I am terribly sorry about what I said to you, I do love you to, and thank Warp because she has convinced me to stay with you two. I love you so very, very much.” I told her.
She began to cry harder, it was because of joy however, not sadness but joy. As she stopped crying I could see a smile form on her face. She grabbed me and began to hug me as hard as she could, which actually wasn’t very hard at all.
“How do we get to FlashFlare?” I asked Warp.
“Well the portal was destroyed a hundred years ago, I will bring us back in time and as we enter Serenity is going to need to use a bit of her energy to soak down the barrier, Serenity just remember to do it as we are traveling through the portal.
Okay.” Warp explained.















Chapter 10
The Dangerous World of FlashFlare

“AJ you go ahead to Argentina, I need to take care of something alright, and Serenity will accompany you.” Warp told me.
“Warp I know you are crazy, but I didn’t think you were crazy enough to think I could actually make it all the way to Argentina by foot. That is probably the stupidest thing you could think.” I told her.
“All righty, to listen to me, I know perfectly well that you cant do that, so I am going to fast forward yours and Serenity’s body ‘til the point where you are in the country of Argentina, alright. Plus go to the Heckslending Inn, I have a reservation for a room for two, with one master bed okay, you two can take it, when I do get back we are leaving for FlashFlare. So you two have fun.” Warp explained to us.
“Oh, I’m sorry Warp, are you sure you can’t come with us.”
Before she answered I felt my start to move… and no I wasn’t walking, if that’s what you’re thinking. It turned out that Warp had been fast forwarding us already. Darn…
Later once we were in Argentina Serenity began to look around for that one hotel Warp mentioned.
“AJ, do you remember what it was called?” Serenity asked me.
“No, I don’t.” I responded.
“Well that’s alright, because I do.” Serenity told me.
“Believe me that is a good thing, so where are going then?” I asked her.
“Heckslending Inn, okay.” She told me.
“Sounds weird. Are you sure we should go their.” I told her.
“Well, we need somewhere to stay. Plus, Warp already has reservations. We can’t waste the money she has spent for the two of us.” Serenity told me.
“True, very true. But we hardly know Warp, how do you know we can trust her. Not to mention the fact that she is a Temmeniean, you remember what kind of people they are.” I insulated.
“Well, you remember, all other Aquari have no sense of love or anger, or revenge, or lust. However I do. I’m not like the rest of the Aquari; you aren’t like the rest of the humans, because you are not self-centered. So, who’s to say that Warp isn’t the same as the rest of the Temmeniean’s? We are different than the rest of our kind, okay.” Serenity explained to me.
What Serenity says is true; she is different from the Aquari’s. I’ll bet all of you out you are desperate to meet me and Serenity right now, not really Warp, she is weird. Anyway back to the story.
So we finally found the hotel, it was broken down and old. Gross. How can I expect Serenity to stay in this old place?
“Serenity we can find somewhere else to stay. I men if you don’t want have to stay in this gross place.” I suggested.
“No really it’s fine, okay; Warp has a reservation here for us. Okay, let’s go.” Serenity insisted.
I could see the horrified look on her face at this place. She really doesn’t want to go here after all; however I am going to put what she wants before me.
You know that is exactly what all guys should do for his girl. They are the best thing you will ever get, do you understand me. Don’t let her have a reason to leave you; she is in charge, with her best interest.
Sorry for the intermission again. Back to the story.
As we walked into the hotel Serenity’s face was getting a bit calmer, I don’t know why.
She pointed to an old buried sign, looked like it was over a million years old, holy crap. The sign said: Home of the Dangerous World of FlashFlare Portal!
That’s why Warp had us come here; it was broken down, and out of business, not to mention, at some point in time the portal to FlashFlare was here. Perfect. I guess Warp isn’t that bad after all, she may help.
Anyway, we entered the “hotel” and went to a room we managed to find that wasn’t even scratched. It was perfect for the occasion.
“Just my luck.” Serenity told me.
“I love you Serenity, do you want the bed, I will sleep on the floor if you would like that?” I asked her.
“Don’t you remember, I sleep better with somebody with me. Will you join me please?” Serenity asked.
“You know, we are a bit young to sleep together okay.” I told her.
“What do you mean? Oh, well on Aquari we don’t reproduce like that… oh, however I do, I can fall in love, and I have. Anyway, I was not planning on any of that, I promise you that I will keep all of my clothes on, and so will you okay.” Serenity promised me.
“Okay, good, thank you, than sure, I would be happy to be in the bed with you.” I said nervously.
We went to sleep that night and you know what, for the first time on this horridly stressful trip I felt relaxed. I know that doesn’t seem to hard, but just consider what kind of position I am in right now. We had a rude awakening the next morning, thunder. Serenity rose from the bed and screamed… the floor was covered in roaches, the roses outside were gone, and there were a ton of girls walking around the hotel, all wearing white dresses, I hate this.
“Mother Nature strikes again.” I said to myself.
“What are you talking about Mother Nature is dead and has been dead for the past 2000 years, does Earth hear any of the universal news.” Serenity said to me shocked.
“What are you talking about, Mother Nature is just a figment of our imaginations, and she is what ancient Greeks used to explain the different weathers. How the heck could she be dead? And what is universal news?” I shot back at her.
“No need to get snappy, universal news is when something major happens; it is spread to every planet in the universe, the crop circles we believe is one way the message was transferred. It is written in FlashFlare humanoid, why can Earthlings read that.” Serenity asked me.
“We didn’t even know the planet Aquari existed, you expect us to know the language of FlashFlare. That is so stupid.” I said angrily.
Serenity glared at me.
“Listen guys, it wasn’t the Electric Rod, I rewound this place so that we could go to the portal. Sorry about the roach infestation, it happened two years ago, and they don’t have enough money to take care of it, and in order to get through the check in desk you must have a white dress if female and white tux if male. It sucks.” Warp told us.
“Oh thank god Warp you are here, can we leave this disgusting place, I hate roaches.” Serenity said shivering.
“Ya, ya, go to the top floor there will be only one room that is off limits, go in and wait for me and AJ, I need to talk to him.” Warp told Serenity.
“AJ listen up, I understand the culture of the Aquari’s and Temmeniean’s may be difficult for you to understand, so I will clear it out now, I was planning on letting the shadow do that, but you need to know now. Okay, here is the story: Much before the prophecy had begun, four ordinary people were in the universe, alone. One of them was self-centered, only cared for himself, for his behavior he became known as Sin. Sin hated the other three people. They all possessed an unnatural ability, one each. Sin had the power of evil. There was one named Cos, he possessed darkness, much like the shadow beings. Another was named Tan, he possessed light. The last was named Log, he possessed the power of the good. Sin however, wanted all four of their power, he wanted everything, his greed still continues. After the planets of Worship were created the other three fled to each of them, they were worshipped there and became known as gods. Aquari, they became to know the god Log of kindness. Temmeniea, they became to know the god Cos, of darkness. FlashFlare, they became to know the god Tan, of light. Sin was left alone without worship. Once word spread around the universe of Shadow life, the only tap of evil in our universe Sin fled to the new planet. He was easily welcomed there, worshipped as a god, thus the legend of the four gods was born. I will explain the incident with Mother Nature later, when you are ready.” Warp explained.
I shook my head “Can we just get to FlashFlare please?” I asked her.
She nodded. We walked up stairs to the top floor, the elevator was broken. This is probably the worst break off of school I have had in my life.
