So yeah. I havent had a period in 4 months. I'll go ahead and dismiss the first thing you're thinking of. No, Im not pregnant. So after waiting a while since Ive never been regular, I went to the gyn this afternoon after class and they fit me in for a consult. They ended up doing an unltrasound, which is really cool to watch. Since I'm in healthcare pretty much, I knew somewhat what I was looking at on the screen. As it turns out, I have a cyst on my left ovary (no biggie), but I have a polycystic right ovary. So, I have polycystic ovarian syndrome. The CNM wrote me a prescription for Provera, a progesterone pill I have to take for 10 days to get me to restart my period. She also gave me 2 sample boxes of Yaz, a bc pill, to see if I like it since Im not planning on getting pregnant any time soon. She says that when I do decide to try for children, they'll have to put me on an antidiabetic pill because of the insulin resistance, and also put me on progesterone to maintain the pregnancy (aka no miscarriage). That was my day besides going to class this morning. I dont want to even think about how much my bill will be when I get it :/ ~Yuzi

	From what I've heard/know about periods, isn't not having it a good thing unless it's endangering your life? Also, I'd ask what all them medical jibba-jabba you spoke means but very likely it's nothing for me to know. Please do not attempt to explain it to me. Good luck on it working?

	o_O All women are supposed to have a period every month. It's not uncommon to be irregular though, meaning you can sometimes skip a month. Going without it for more than 1 month while sexually active could mean pregnancy, and more than 3 months without pregnancy means you need to see a doctor.

	Yeah its not, but its not something we can get away from and still be healthy unless we're taking bc pills that have that effect, or we're going through menopause XD

	O.o My friend didnt get her period for over a month or so. And she took a pregnancy test and she wans't prego. So i guess she may have the same thing as you? o.o;; Your bill will over 4k >.> If you gots no insurance <.<;;;;

	It's odd how many times I run into that particular syndrome in my travels around the world, and the net. eek My best friend has it, my girl friend has it, and I think maybe one or two others I know of. Expect a heightened sex drive, long or thick arm hair, peach fuzz all over, and painful periods. Your results may vary. gonk I wish you luck, and good fortune, especially with your bill.

	I wish I had that. I'd love to not have periods. It's not like I want kids or anything. Are you in pain, though?

	Poor thing... I know a thing or two about problems like that. I was told not to try to get pregnant again after the first problem... in my case I was prone to easily miscarrying, due to detachment of the placenta. and I eventually went the hysterectomy route... no point in prolonging things... If you ever want to talk, I'm here for ya.
