Also known as: My Wilderness Adventure. *sways*

Now, please understand, I live in the country. However, I live in Oklahoma; the wilderness I was adventuring in over the past couple days is in Pennsylvania. So... hills. And going up and down them. Not to mention the house-sized boulders and the trees that disappear up into the clouds. *dizzy* Not to mention a grandpa who drives as crazy as my 21-year-old friend, generally along the tops of the aforementioned hills! (Okay, so, that part was actually kind of fun). But what really did me in was... the allergies. For the first time in my life, allergies. *feels seriously emo* By the gods, may I never again snigger at someone who has been reduced to a repulsive dribbling lump by allergies! *whimper* Well, it's a lot more moist up here, so in addition to being fertile ground for all kinds of nasty molds and fungi, the plants in general are a lot more diverse... probably hundreds of different (evil) pollens that I've never encountered before, ganging up on me...

Oh, and I sunburned the top of my head. *collapses*

On the plus side, I did succeed in blocking out my grandparent's classical music with my Modest Mouse without deafening myself, and was able to get a little bit of writing done. 'The Last Mistake' lives again!!

And in closing, one last thought on this trip. Surprisingly enough, the people who live in rural little northern Pennsylvania towns... are every bit as much hicks as Oklahomans. Ha! (But no offense to anyone who happens to live in a rural little northern Pennsylvanian town. I was actually born up here. @.@)
