So True Blood isn't actually a bad series. I thought it would be the cliche vampire s**t. It actually reminds me of Near Dark. It's about more hick kind of vampires than the dark gothic kind, and it actually takes place around my small Louisiana town.
The main vampire, Bill, needs a lot of development though. I'm only beginning to get him and relate to him after 8 episodes. That is not fun.
