I was playing Runescape. Then I switched to Mapelstory. Why am I on Gaia? I have a friend who is on Gaia who I want to play Maplestory. Gaia isn't fun enough to keep my attention. Unless you merch, there's not a good way to make money. But what is really bad is that the games aren't really that fun. You can go to Popcap and play really addicting games for free as well. But they are better.
