Ultimaria
I don't really know where I came from...Everything is new to me because of this aspect. In this journal I will catalog all of the events that I come across.
La Fine della Leggenda (pt. 3)

" I don't like the dark" Toom complained, "never did."

The group pressed on through the dark, winding hallways of the fortress. A feeling of danger was in the air, as if the walls themselves were waiting for an opportune moment to attack.
" Calm yourself Toom." Haol replied, " You need not worry about an attack from enemies that are not present."
" Yea, yea. Just gives em' the chance to sneak out and kick ya right in the- ouch!"
In mid sentence, Toom had walked into a set of large doors.
"What the hell? You'd think there'd be a little bit of a warning that says big freakin' doors ahead!" said Toom.
With a large grunt, he pushed them open to reveal a large, circular shaped arena. The floor turned from stone to sand as they progressed into the room.
"This doesn't look good." Said Sayrdonix. "Be ready for some action, Haol."
Haol was alarmed by his comment. "We will have to fight here?"
"What do you think Colosseum's are for?" Sayrdonix responded.
With that, four chambers on the edges of the arena opened slowly. Armor clad soldiers were revealed, only these were not the soldiers from before. The warriors were larger, two humans tall, and each carried weapons of gargantuan proportions.
Haol spoke up.
"Sayrdonix, I would like to handle this without your help. Please stay dormant."
"What? You do realize that if you die there's no coming back when you're human, right?" Sayrdonix replied.
"Yes, I am aware" said Haol calmly, "but I refuse to rely on the power of another to save my life every time it is in jeopardy."
"Heh, fine with me." Sneered Sayrdonix. "Your funeral."
Lyn looked at Haol, concerned. "Are you sure you will be able to fight as you are now?"
"I have confidence in myself enough to fend for myself" Haol replied. "Even without my power, I feel as though I am able to take on mortal beings such as these."
Haol unsheathed his sword. It gave off a vibrant white aura.
"That sword is a physical manifestation of some of the power you left behind" said Lyn. "Although it does not contain all of your power, it's still very strong."
Haol looked at the gleaming blade, then turned his attention towards the large warriors.
"I am ready!" Haol exclaimed. "Come at me!"
The mutants began their charge at Haol. Toom and Lyn formed a defensive stance.
One of the warriors raised their weapon, a rather large mace, and swung it down at Haol with incredible force. Haol leaped out of the way of the crushing steel, but the force of the impact created a shock wave of pressure, which caused him to be tossed to the ground.
"Ngh!" Haol grunted in pain. He regained his footing as the giant mace rose above the mutant's head again.
As the mace swung down, Haol ran towards the giant, and dashed through it's legs, letting the mace drop behind him. He then immediately started to climb up the back of the giant. He noticed that the armor had an opening on the back of the mutant's neck. Haol made his way to the top of it, and thrust his sword into the opening. The mutant gave a loud roar, and fell to the ground. Haol removed his sword, blood spewing from the wound of the giant. As Haol looked back, he noticed that his companions had put in a valiant effort. Now only two of the original four giants were left standing, one with a large sword with a serrated edge, and another with an enormous double-edged ax.
Lyn darted around one of the giants with blindingly fast speed and agility while firing rays of white light from her fingertips. The light pierced the arm of the giant, which slowed it down, but did not stop it. Just then, Lyn distanced herself from the warrior, as a large piece of the stone ceiling above fell on it. Toom soon followed, feet first, landing with such force that he penetrated through the stone slab, breaking it in half. Toom gave a "thumbs-up" to Lyn, unaware of the final warrior dashing towards him. He looked up an saw that the creature was about to lower the large ax on him when he saw a figure in white dart in front of him.
"Haol what are you doing?" shouted Toom "Get out of the way!"
The ax fell, and stopped just before Toom's head. Haol was bracing the giant ax with his sword.
"What the hell?" Toom said in amazement.
"I will not allow you" Haol said angrily, " to cause harm to anyone!"
Suddenly, a great gust of wind erupted from Haol's sword, lifting the giant's weapon in the air with great force. The wind concentrated at the end of Haol's sword, increasing the length of the blade to about the height of the mutant.
Haol leaped into the air towards the warrior. As he descended, he swung the sword as hard as he could downwards. The blade cut through the armor as if it was non-existent, severing the mutant in two halves.
Haol landed, and looked at the bladed in astonishment.
"This is only some of my power? I was able to cleave through such a mighty warrior with so little effort. Just how powerful was I?" Haol thought.
"That was freakin' amazing!" exclaimed Toom.
"I told you that sword was special" said Lyn.
"A thousand thanks Lyn" Haol replied, "if it hadn't been for this sword, we might be one man less."
A pair of doors opened up on the opposite end of the Colosseum, allowing further passage into the palace.
"How much you wanna bet the next room will be his?" said Toom.
"We can only hope that this nightmare is coming to an end." replied Haol.

"I see that they are rather formidable opponents, my lord. I hope you are not questioning whether or not you will be able to best them."
A woman with dark hair and a black dress was speaking to Zeon.
"Have you forgotten so easily who I am, my dear Faint?" replied Zeon menacingly. "Do I have to remind you agian?"
Faint's expression turned to concern.
"N-no, my lord. I am sorry I questioned your power. Please forgive me."
Zeon chuckled in amusement.
"Ha! Oh, I don't know, Faint. You failed me in the fight outside the palace, and now you question my ability? I think you deserve a little punishment."
Zeon opened his hand, and in it formed a dark black flame. It snaked over to Faint's feet and circled her.

A terrifying scream echoed through the palace walls...
