After a two day stay at the hospital we're finally home, healthy, happy baby and all. Violet Fae Gene Kendall was officially brought into this world at 4:35pm Tuesday afternoon on January 26th.
I started having labor pains January 26th, but at 3:00am in the morning! We didn't do a full induction, but they did have to break my water.. All that day they had me walking, as I was dialated to a three, but wouldn't move passed it. Soon after we were able to keep going and I was allowed to stay at the hospital.. At around noon I was fully into labor, but was only dialated to a nine and again, couldn't go passed it as my cervix had swollen up due to intense pushing... Unfortunantly, I had been slipping in and out of conciousness and couldn't help myself from pushing, IE how my cervix became swollen.
They gave me an epideral, which did deaden my right side, but left my left side completely untouched. I was still unable to keep from pushing, and started to look lathargic and almost to the point of my epilepsy stages.. at this point the moron doctors left me to push and just screamed at me not to for about a good hour until they brought in the BEST freaking doctor I've ever seen.. one good spinal tap and I was fine and dialated and pushing for real to give birth! Unfortunantly, again, they had to do an cutting on me because Violet's enormous head was to big for me..
Finally after having the doctor scream at me that I wasn't pushing hard enough (hello, I had a spinal tap in me and my lower half was dead eight, of course I wasn't pushing hard enough, I couldn't feel anything!) But finally Violet was born, a healthy 8.1 pound baby!
