As to my trip the first day in DC we went to the National History Museum along with the grave of the unknown soldier, the turning of the guard, and drove past the capital. The second day we went to ford's theater and the National Gallery of Art. By this time my feet where killing me being on them all day so we didn't to the second part of the second floor. My step mother didn't go with us. Which I am glad for. The sculptures, surprisingly, where my favorite part. Some where pretty bad and I wasn't quite sure why they where in there seeing as I have never even really tried to learn that part of art history. Not that I know much to start with.
I got a few books from the galleries I went too. This was one of them.
The third day we did the mall walk, this is where things got bad. The first stop all was well but it wasn't the garden my dad wanted to see, turns out the one he did want to go to was up by the capital and that was why it wasn't on the map. My stepmother was with us and she tripped wile we where on the mall walk and she feel pretty hard. Then when we got back to the car we found it missing, along with my dads car keys. We called a few people but finally a cab driver said it was towed and he knew where it was taken. (The second time he showed up. He said some weird things so we didn't understand that he was trying to take us to our car.) The keys where under my dads seat and we got a $100 ticket.
That day was pretty bad but I got to see a good bit of the sites.
The next day we split up again, they almost didn't want to go again, but my dad and me saw two more galleries. Half a floor of the American History Gallery and 2/3rds of the National Portrait Gallery.
On the way to the Galleries we went by the capital and this is when we found his garden but we didn't have time to go to it and see the gallery he told me I could go to. I feel kinda bad.
From there we went to my grandmothers, which I will save for next post.
