plain and simple, God uses suffering as a venue to bring you closer to him. this could turn into a question of "why should we accept the suffering when we can just deny such an unfair 'God' per se and just live not dealing with all that bullsh*t". well, this is where another question, your Faith, would kick in.
people take the words of the Bible too literal nowadays. in print, they state the suffering of people, how God enforced ultimatums to even his most loyal to give up their wealth and power in his name. through suffering, comes prayer. through prayer, real thought out ones......actually, i'm not sure how to describe what comes after prayer. i could say life changing events, but that's never always the case.
anyway, my point is that suffering can't always be explained, but the closest explanation i could give is so you can earn what is called Grace. Grace is the state of being gained through practicing Virtues. Google them. as simple as it may sound, suffering is reminiscent of the Sins in your life. blah blah blah Ten Commandments, Moral Rights, you know the deal. if you live life with Virtues in mind [Hope, Faith, & Love being the 3 base ones], then the suffering will seem so miniscule.
but that's probably only something the individual can experience for themself. what ev. </ramble>
