14.
Tyren and Melani had gotten married. They moved back into the city, since it was the only home they could afford. Tyren insisted on asking his father for money, but Melani said no, they would earn the money themselfs, not by asking a wealthy parent. Tyren got a job at some place with a long name, which Tyren never
remembered, but it basically meant he went down the streets, cleaning up around shops. Tyren hated his job, he felt too important to be doing simple jobs, peasant jobs. He tried to avoid crowded areas, so at least he could have some pride left. Melani decided to get a job as an assistant teacher. They worked most of the time, and
spent their nights alone. Until a few weeks passed, and Melani joined a a bunch of clubs. Tyren then spent most of his time alone. He never really cared, since as a kid he never had many freainds. Melani in fact was the only person who he actually considered a friend. The days passed, him staying alone, until Melani started to complain.
"Honey, it's not good for you to be here alone every night."
"It's ok, I'm happy as it is."
"No you're not. You need to join a book club, or something."
"No way am I joining a book club. That's something for quite, shy people who have no life or pride."
Melani stuck he bottom lip out and made a mad face at Tyren, all while putting her hands on her hips. "I'm in a book club."
"Exactly my point." said Tyren, teasingly.
"Fine, I have no life or pride." Melani smiled a deviouse smile, "After all that's why I married you."
Tyren frowned, "Whatever."
"If you don't want to join a book club, go join a golf club, or something."
"I don't golf. Golfing is the biggest waste of time for a warrior.
"Then join a warrior club!!"
"There's no such thing!!"
"Well join anything, just as long as you make some freinds."
"I don't need freinds!!"
"Fine, suit yourself." Melani said, giving up.
Two days later, Tyren sat alone at home, bored. He turned on the T.V. and tried to watch, but everything on seemed to bore him. He turned the T.V. off and walked to the window. Staring outside he thought to himself "If this keeps on going like it is, Melani is going to change me to a whole different person." Tyren sighed and walked
outside. He walked around the city, looking for a club to join. He walked for minutes, before finding a place. He stepped into the weird building. Inside, the walls were filled with odd inventions and trinquets. He looked around, amazed by the oddities. Someone stepped from behind a counter.
"Can I help you?"
"Yes, I'd like to join this club."
"The Sparring club comes here on every first day of the week. On the other days, this is an invention shop."
Tyren sigh, "Oh."
"You can stay and look around if you like."
"I will, thank you."
Tyren stayed for an hour before leaving.
Tyren returned the first day of the week, and fought with few, feeling left out. He also returned to the shop to look around. After a month of being left out, Tyren quit the club. They didn't notice he quit until three weeks later. Tyren stayed at home for the rest of the month. At work, Tyren developed a hatred toward peasants, and odd
people, as well as rejects. He slowly became bitter during work. Everytime he saw someone he hated, he made it notible. However, one day, Tyren went home to find Melani gone, again. She left him another note, which read:
"Tyren,
I've gone to my art club. Food is on the table, and please, go find another club you can join. Do it for me.
Love,
Melani."
Tyren sighed, he ate and put on his coat. He walked for hours, looking at shops, and people passing buy. He arrived at a park and decided to go for a stroll. While walking, Tyren saw a gang of people jumping someone. Tyren ran and fought of the gang. HE punched the first one in the face, braking his nose. In a swift motion, he kicked the second in
the ribs, leaving the man gasping. He would've attacked he other, but they took off running. He turned to help the man who was getting jumped. Tyren gasped when he saw it was a peasant. Not just any peasant, one that had deformities. He was about to slap the man in the face, when his computer buzzed. He looked at the massage. It was from
Melani:
"Hon, I hope you can make a friend tonight, and try to be nice, even when it's hard, after all, that's how I was to you."
Tyren sighed, and lifted the man up. The man started to brush himself of, but decided to thank Tyren first. He hugged Tyren and thanked him. Tyren was getting sick of all of it. The man finaly stopped and brushed himself off. Tyren turned and started to walk away. The man ran up and started blabbering on about how he had no friends, hoe he was
rejected by society because of his deformities. Tyren sighed and tried to tell the man he had to go, but he wouldn't listen. It took Tyren an hour before he could get the man to leave him alone.
Tyren was working, three days later, when again the odd man came. He saw Tyren and started to blabber about what had happened to him over the past few days. Tyren pretended to ignore him, but the man didn't notice. Tyren was about to lose his temper, when his boss came walking toward him, smiling.
"Now that, Tyren, is what I like to see, someone who cares about the people, no matter how ugly they are."
Tyren was confused, "Sir?"
"No need to be shy, I know exactly what you're going to say, and the answer is yes, you will be promoted."
Tyren smiled, "Promoted?"
"Yes, you will now work in a nice office."
Tyren turned and hugged the man next to him. He was getting promoted.
Tyren went back to the Sparring club. Again, he was ignored, left to do his own bussiness. He left early, and found the man outside. Tyren had started to pretend to care about what the man said, afterall, he was promoted because of him.
"They kicked you out?"
"No, I just-"
"They always do that to people they don't like."
"Do what?"
"Kick them out."
Tyren started to raise his voice, "I said I wan't kicked out, I just-"
"They ignored you, so you left."
"Yes, Noo!!!"
"They did the same to me, even though I really tried."
"You fight?"
"No, but I wanted to learn."
Tyren stared at him, and finaly sighed and said, "If you want I can teach you."
The man looked at the ground, "It would be a pleasure."
Tyren and the man met in the park, where they sparred dayly. TYren was suprised at the rate in which the man learned, and how well he fought for a beginner. Tyren soon learned to accept the man for who he was, a friend.
"Drokiem?"
"Yes, Tyren?"
"I was wondering, I wanted to ask. I-"
"About my deformities?"
"Ummmm..."
"Don't worry, I always wanted to explian it to someone, but no one ever listens."
Tyren was silent.
"My eyes became gray during my childhood. It freaked out most of the kids in my school. Then, during a fight, when I was seventeen, someone managed to cut my arm, creating th useless stub you see now.. I went to9 witches, hoping they could cure me, but all they did was turn my hand blue, and hair white."
"Wow, I..I-"
"Don't worry about it, There's nothing that can be done now."
The next day, Tyren went to the invention shop, and looked around for a bit. He found the store owner working on something. Interested, Tyren asked if he could watch.
"Sure, as long as you don't get in the way."
"I won't, what is it anyways?"
"I'm trying to find a way to regenerate broken parts."
Tyren stared at the device, and thought for a while, "Is there a way to regenreate skin?"
"Probably."
"Can you make something?"
"Nope, don't have the time to do the proper research."
"Can anyone invent something?" asked Tyren.
"Sure."
Tyren ran out of the store and went home. He picked up his computer and sent a message to his father, asking him to make all the scholars try and find a way to regenerate skin.
Few days later, Tyren reseaved a message from the castle, telling him that there was a way. Tyren was excited until he got to the part that the way was lost. Tyren cursed lightly, and decided to go out and find it. He went to walking, when he stumbled upon an akward shop. He entered, and to his suprise, found it empty. He was about to
walk out, when someone behind coughed. He turned around and Dirco standing there. He ran up and hugged his older cousin.
"Dirco, why are you here?"
"I came to buy some rare artifacts."
"Rare artifacts?"
"Yes, they say they have magical powers."
Just then, the owner stepped in from the backroom. Tyren watched as Dirco odered a few stones. After saying goobye, Tyrn turned and asked the lady if she knew about healing skin.
"Nope, that art was lost centuries ago." She said simply.
Tyren left in a bad moond, he wanted to find out how to heal skin. Finaly, he thought of it, Nahan. Nahan was a powertist, and could use his wierd powers for many things. He once used them to revive Dirco, so why couldn't he use them to heal someone. He ran home and called Nahan. After alot of talking, Nahan agreed to leave the castle to help Tyren.
And Nahan did so. He arrived at Tyren's appartment. From there they went to Drokiem. They found him asleep in the park.
"Wake up."
"Not yet, mum."
"Drokiem!!"
"Wha-Where am I?"
"In the park, your home."
"Oh, Tyren, it's you."
"I brought someone that might be able to help you."
"Help me?"
"Have a normal body."
Drokiem became teary eyed, "Really? Who?"
"My brother, Nahan."
"Please, will you?"
Nahan stepped foward and used his power to heal Drokiem. After a flash of light, Drokiem stood in front of them, with a normal arm, and hand. His hair was a nice shade of purple, his eyes a blue color. Drokiem stared at his arms, wet eyed. He jumped in the air and ran at Tyren and Nahan.
Tyren and Drokiemdid many things toghether. They sparred, they went to the invention shop. After a while Drokiem met Melani. They were best friends for live,
