The feeling in her legs was rapidly disappearing, causing her to become unbalanced, falling over onto her back. With the wind completely knocked out of her, she lie there, staring up in immense terror...
Leaning over and crouching by the fallen girl, the figure threw back its hood. She gasped at the face staring down at her own, surprised and overcome by the striking features. "Calli..." The figure whispered softly, completely motionless. Calli reached a hand toward the beautifully mysterious person, "H-How do y-you know my name? Who are you?"
The person laughed softly, placing Calli's hands over her chest, looking as though she were praying. Calli closed her eyes, then the figure whispered again, "Take a deep breath, then let it out slowly..." She didn't know why she did it, but Calli did as she was told to. As she let the breath out, Calli felt herself slipping away from reality. "What's going on? What are you doing to me?" The figure laid a hand against Calli's forehead, silencing the panicked outburst. "Shh, it's alright, you're safe." Things began to slide out of focus as she felt herself completely slipping away from everything around her. As Calli's breath stopped and her vision disappearing rapidly, she could've sworn that the figure had wings...Then things were lost to her, reality a simple nothingness now...
The figure stood and stepped a few paces back, watching the motionless Calli. Her eyes were closed, both hands against her heart in prayer, still lying down in the grass on her back. Smiling slightly, the person remembered the question Calli had asked her...Who are you? Even though there was no real reason for her to answer now, she deigned the question with one anyway..."Who am I? I, Kaia, am the Angel of Death...."
