Winter Cry
We've been outside for a while
You stand there in
A T-shirt and jeans. Soon, soon
It will snow. I worry
for what might happen to you.

It comes in sheets the snow.
Her icy wind is
like a cold breath on my shoulder.
We must hide
for snow isn't as merciful as
it seems.

Your skin, which was normal not
too long ago
has turned into a deep icy blue.
You grow weary
and it worries me even further.

I've found a shelter where
we can stay,
and where we can hide.
Please, stay awake
Just a little bit longer.
