For someone as afraid as the paranormal as me, it would be easy to question why I'm so interested in it. Why try to find out more about something that could run you screaming in terror? Of course its for the knowledge, but also the FEELING.
Most people who go to see a horror movie want to be scared. They WANT to be afraid. Fear is an intoxicating emotion. Look back at a time you were afraid, GENUINELY afraid. When fear grips you your senses heighten, your mind works differently. Adrenaline pumps through you. When you look back on that time later, it can be exhilarating. TO know maybe you ALMOST died, or that you avoided something terrible that could've happened.
As much as I hate all the open doors and mirrors in this house, I have to admit theres something deeper I feel when I walk past a dark room or hear a strange sound when I'm alone. Maybe we as humans do have primal fears, built into our DNA from our ancestors. Fears of the dark and such still grip people in this modern age. That shows how powerful it really is. In an age where we have science and rationality, irrational thoughts and fears still plague mankind. Any way you slice it,
Fear is an amazing feeling.
