He glared into the eyes of the broken, winged woman writhing on the snowy ground in front of him. Her strident screams pierced the cold night. The man just watched with silent pleasure curling his thick lips. His eyes mirrored all they saw. The purple glow of his powers surrounding and battering the pitiful lady inside its small bubble. Up in the sky, the moon was shrouded in a dense grey cloud. Those same eyes caught the woman’s face and countenance in the most detailed state of horror and regret that he had so far seen in his long life.
And to him, it was a major turn-on.
Slowly, the purple lights that were his magic faded away and left the woman a gasping wreck on the dirt forest ground.
“Carai, you have greatly displeased me.” His voice was soft and seductive, his word sweet honey to its listener. It didn’t show any of the emotion that stirred inside him.
The crumpled form on the earthen floor gasped and cried, “I’m deeply sorry, Master! I didn’t mean to displease you!” She quickly broke down and sobbed. Her fat hot tears of pain and embarrassment ran down her cheeks and made the snow under her turn into a wet mush.
“Of course you are my dear servant.” Carai’s master walked closer to her battered body. He stopped with his black boots with pure silver embroidery just inches from her face. “I can trust you. But…….you of all people must understand. I don’t care much for disappointment.” Now his voice was cold and filled with malice, without changing its overall tone.
Miles off, a high pitched scream was heard by a small young girl. That young girl bawled and ran towards her mother. In rapid Korean the mother calmed her child and took her to bed. The little girl had nightmares that night, and every night after that for months.
