Things are going...slow for now. I don't have much money to last me until next payday(2 weeks). But on the upside, one of the managers from the other stores (from the other side of the country to boot, calling her store is difficult with the time difference ^^') has come by to help the manager of my store recruit people for the empty positions.
J-chan is very nice! She's NOTHING like my DM... J-chan is fun to talk to and she's very understanding. When I told her about my lack of a raise, she seemed to take me and the store manager's side. SHE is willing to learn about people...the DM is not. She's so nice, the first day I worked with her (Saturday), she got tired later on in the night, and said she might leave before the store closed. I told her it was fine, no different than a normal day, and I'd rather her get some rest after her trip. And she kept checking "Are you sure? I don't want to leave you stranded. I don't want to abandon you...". She's so thoughtful! ^^ J-chan and M-chan are 2 of the best managers I've ever met!
I heard M-chan is done hiring staff. For now at least. It all depends on how long they last. That shouldn't effect my hours much (yet, since M-chan and I are still the only ones who know how to open and close the store.). So now, we're playing everything by ear.
Since M-chan is taking Wed. off, J-chan and I will be reciving the order. I told her (and apparently M-chan did too) about the delivery guy, who likes taking short cuts, even if it means getting US in trouble(The mall fines us a bit for having pallets in mall walkways and/or within the store, thus it forces all deliveries to be made with dollies.). So if he comes during my shift, and tries to pull off pulling the pallet into the store, security WILL know, and he won't be making shortcuts anymore...no more miss. nice candy girl. I'm not going to get in trouble for his mistake.
