Okay, things have been going pretty normal lately. Just the usual chaos that comes with working at a candy store. Get kids sticking their dirty hands where they don't belong...pre-perchase munchers...oh yes, let's not forget the recent string of 'My bag has a hole in it!' Issues. "Approved Quality" bags my @$$...these temp. clear bags...they feel cheap, and their made cheap. It's hard to close them with stickers, where with the other bags, it was easy. We're going through twistie ties like there is no tomorrow!

I actually had to scold 2 pairs of boys last night....one young pair, maybe 10-11 or so years old, the other pair, maybe around 17-18 (at a guess, I can't guess ages very well)

The young boys weren't necessarily trouble in their own...just young kids wanting a few cents in candy. And as many free samples as they can get. They were in on Saturday and Sunday. I told them after a few 22cent purchases "These low purchases have to stop. If you're only planning on getting a few pieces, don't bother comming in. And samples are NOT going to be a routine...got it?" Hopefully they don't come in anymore for free samples and to buy just one or two pieces...

And the older boys...gods...I hate dealing with older teens...they should know better than to stick their hands in a bin and take candy. THAT. IS. STEALING!!! If you haven't payed for the candy, it belongs to me (the store), and if you eat it before paying for it, you are stealing from me (the store). It is NOT "Just candy". It is store merchandise. How much common sense does it take to understand this concept...? Really...? How much? confused And one of them asked "How long have you worked here? I remember you from the other store. You banned my little brother after he did something." ... ... ... Uh...yeah...and you telling me this is going to help my trust in you? I ban people for a reason. If I ban your little brother for a good reason, that means you probably aren't going to be much better...and frankly, those two were annoying enough to almost call security.
