I like to write, and I'll put some of the chapters from my story[s] up. Everything else is random crap.
Chapter 3
I spent my time packing, getting things ready for the move. My mom insisted that we go to the doctors to make sure everything was all right and that I was healthy enough; get some advice. Mom gave me some of her own advice, having been in this situation herself she understood what I was going through, and understood that I wanted to be alone sometimes.

Every time the phone rang I found myself waiting anxiously to see if it was for me, maybe it was Tim with a change of heart, even though I knew deep down that would never happen. Then I wondered if he had told anyone yet, whether Samantha knew or not. Weeks passed quickly, and every day a little more realization washed over me as I realized I was walking into a new life as a teenager about to turn mother. All thoughts of being accepted at my new school were swept away. It would come as no surprise to me if I became an outcast, looked down upon, subject to many names. I began to wonder why I had ever wanted to move, but I knew it would be a lot worse here.

When the day of the move came I was up early, making sure I had everything packed, and packed a small bag for myself to take with me in the car. I was traveling with my mom, and my dad was leaving a little earlier in his truck to be there when the movers got there. We took the trip slowly, mom talked some more about what it might be like for me, showering me with more advice. Not much caring about the trip anymore I fell asleep and was woken by my mom telling me we had just arrived at our new town. My stomach twisted itself in knots with anticipation and a few minutes later we pulled up in front of our new house.

The heat washed over me as I stepped out of our car in front of the house. My mom stepped out beside me and I gazed at my new home. It was a lot bigger than our old one, an older two-story Victorian style house. I walked up the front walk towards the big double doors. Before entering I turned around and grabbed a couple of my bags and followed my parents back into the house. Immediately I was breathless. It was gorgeous. The hardwood floors shined in the front entrance, and just ahead of me was an elegant looking spiral staircase. To my left was an open entrance to what was now just a big empty space. Walking a little further I saw the kitchen to the right, with its obviously new appliances shining. I didn’t think my parents wanted something like this, but I certainly wasn’t complaining.

“There are two rooms upstairs you can choose from,” my mom told me, smiling at my speechlessness, “ours is down here, down that hall.” She pointed just past the stairs to what looked like a long hallway. I was wondering how big this house really was.

“Okay,” I said, still in awe. “I’ll go put my stuff up there I guess, then come back and help you.”

“Don’t worry about it much honey, just relax. The movers will start bringing the stuff in in a minute, then we’ll worry about what to do.” Dad said, coming up behind me with another couple boxes.

“Alright.” I picked my bags back up and started ascending the stairs.

When I reached the top I was confronted with a wide-open space, with another hall straight ahead of me. There was a door off to the left, so I put down my bags and went to open it. Shelves lined two of the walls, a large window occupied the west wall and adjacent to that was a large fireplace.

Assuming it was some sort of library, and walked out and continued on my search to what would be my new bedroom. Opening the first door down the hall I found a fairly decently sized open space, which I guessed to be one of the optional bedrooms. Remembering that there were two to choose from I left that one and opened the next door. It revealed nothing to my interest so I left it and continued opening doors. After opening two doors to find a large bathroom and what seemed to be some sort of closet I found the room I’d been looking for. It was bigger then that other bedroom, with two doors in it. One opened off into a walk in closet, quite larger than my old one, and the other door led to a balcony.

Smiling to myself about my amazing new living quarters I had to control myself from skipping down the stairs. Judging by the smile on my face, which my parents hadn’t seen in a long time, they knew I had accepted this move.

“Well,” mom started, “did you find your bedroom?”

“Yeah, I took the furthest one.” I walked around the stairs to the hall.

“I thought you might,” She came to my side. “Come on, I’ll show you the rest of the house before the movers start invading the place.”

The hall was a lot wider than the one upstairs, and towards the end were large patio doors, and beyond I saw the glistening water of a pool. My eyes widened, I was still amazed that my parents would go for something this extravagant. The master bedroom was significantly larger then my room, a king sized bed and two armoires already in it, along with a matching dressing table and dresser. After mom showed me the rest of the house, I couldn’t hold back my question any longer.

“What made you buy such a big, and obviously expensive house?” I asked, turning back to my mom.

“Well, your father and I wanted a change from what we had. It’s not like we can’t afford it. The other houses we looked at were nice, but this one said ‘home’ more.” If there was more to the reason I didn’t ask for it, the movers were bringing things in now. I decided to go out back so I wouldn’t be in the way of them and explore the backyard.

As I had seen before, there was a large, sparkling pool, surrounded by a granite finished pool deck. There was a beautifully landscaped yard beyond to pool, perfectly trimmed trees and bushes, flawless looking flowerbeds. Thinking about it, it all seemed too perfect. And calm. It was all so different from my old house, my old neighbourhood, which had been much noisier. Here it was almost completely silent, even the cars that went by, however rarely it seemed, sounded quite. Everything about this neighbourhood was so rich, I felt almost out of place.

I headed back into the house the movers were bringing things swiftly into the house. Moving out of the way of one of them, I nodded in a greeting.

“Hey,” he said, “how do you like the new place so far?”

“It’s amazing,” I replied, “and so unexpected from my parents.” He laughed and continued on.

Returning to the front of the house I retrieved a few of my smaller things from the car. Gazing around the neighbourhood I noticed once again how different it was. Everything was so perfect, so well kept. It looked like nothing was out of place. A door closing next door brought me back to reality. Glancing over to the house next door I noticed its elegance, then noticed who had stepped outside.

My neighbour, I thought. This is my neighbour? He’s… he’s gorgeous!

Not wanting to be caught staring at him I looked away at to take notice of the progress the movers were making. At the moment they were hauling in my queen sized bed. My curiosity got the better of me and I glanced over at him again. He was moving a table and chairs around on the front veranda of their house; I couldn’t get a very good look at him. Suddenly he descended the stairs and I was given my wish.

He had jet-black hair, partially obscuring the right side of his face, not allowing me a full look at him. He was tall, looked very well built. Before he shrugged on the leather jacket he was holding I got a glimpse of a tattoo on his arm. Without warning he suddenly looked over to see who his new neighbours were. His eyes met and held my gaze for a moment, then smiled a crooked smile and he turned to the garage. From the distance I couldn’t tell the colour of his eyes, but I’d seen what looked like a stud on the left side of his lower lip. My stomach was in knots, and I couldn’t wipe the smile from my face. I turned back to my house.

“How much more stuff is there for -” I started to ask my mom, but cut myself off short when I heard a low rumble. I turned my head in the direction I had only seconds ago had been looking and saw a shiny Mustang pulling out of the garage. The smile returned to my lips and I returned my gaze to my mom and finished my sentence. “Them to move?” Not able to help myself I looked at the gorgeous car with gorgeous driver slowly drive out onto the street. I caught his eye again and I swear I saw him nod in acknowledgment before he sped down the road, tires squealing, the engine roaring. My stomach twisted itself some more. It was going to have to stop that soon.

“Shouldn’t be too much more, and we left some of the old stuff, so we have to go shopping. We’ll probably go look shortly after they’re done here, but it shouldn’t be too much longer. You going to come with us or stay here and get settled as much as you can?”

“I think I’ll… stay here.” I saw after a moment. Even though I knew he probably wouldn’t be back any time soon, I wanted to stay anyway. Plus, I was exhausted from the early morning and all the excitement.

“Okay, that’s fine. But we won’t be leaving for a bit anyway. Maybe you dad doesn’t even want to go look today, I’m not sure. We’ll see.”

“You might as well wait, cause there’s probably some stuff that needs done here so we can sleep… There’s really no point in going now, today was stressful enough as it is.”

‘I suppose,” she paused and looked thoughtfully at the house. During the silence my mind wandered back to my mysterious neighbour. Many questions ran through my mind. What was his name? How old was he? Was he a jerk? I hoped not. Then, the ultimate one, was he single? Someone that good-looking had to be taken. The smile fell from my face, and was replaced with a look of disappointment. I did my best to wipe it away before my mom looked back. “Well, we may as well go and see what we can do in there.” She finished when the movers had finished moving the last of the stuff.

I was amazed at how little time it had taken them. Heading into the house it looked fairly different with all our furniture now in it, and it had certain home feeling to it now, but it would be much better once everything was in place and a few changes were made.

As I started to unpack my things in my room, my mind wandered to things like what the school would be like, how the people would act and treat me, especially when they found out that I was pregnant, I wondered what my neighbour would think when I ever spoke to him, and for now, just basically starting school in general. Sometime in the next two weeks I had to get new things for school, and get settled here. They both seemed like easy tasks, but I knew the latter wouldn’t be.

Mom and dad decided to stay home and unpack some things tonight, but none of us really got much done. I thought maybe I’d at least put my clothes away, but I only got as far as putting the suitcases and boxes that held my clothes and shoes in my closet. After talking with my parents for a bit I claimed to be exhausted and retreated to my room. I had at least gotten my bed made and ready to sleep in, that was really about it. Boxes were thrown and scattered everywhere, making it a miniature obstacle course for me to approach the doors that led to the balcony.

As I sat out there I realized I could just see into the neighbours backyard. Their yard was just as beautiful as ours, if not better. It would obviously already be suited to their taste, ours was still suited to the previous owners liking. Lost in thought I gazed out over our yard, still not over the fact that my parents had bought such an extravagant house. After a while I went back inside and got ready for bed. I looked at the clock as I crawled into my quickly made bed. It was 11:00. I didn’t expect the guy next door to be home, and I didn’t know why I was thinking about it so much, it would make no difference to me what time he got home.

I lay in bed for a long time; sleep would not come. My mind kept wandering back to the party and the horrible thing I had done. I know what I had done was unforgivable in Samantha’s eyes, but it wasn’t my fault. Tim and taken me into the room, taken advantage of me. The only reason I didn’t resist was because I was too impaired to make any right decisions. At least now, I thought, my baby would grow up in a nice place.

Around midnight when it seemed sleep was starting to envelope me, the low rumble of a Mustang next door lifted the sandman’s blanket off me. I found myself imaging him now, and soon fell asleep to a dream filled sleep, full of possibilities in what I was taking as my new start at life.
