Ebania's Journal
The past month and a day.
Well, it kind of freaks me out that I haven't posted any update on my life since before Christmas! Wow. I should really update this baby on the weekends, just to keep you guys posted.

So, a few things that've happened so far include the following (chronologically):

Christmas was incredible. Santa was extremely generous this year, and the ham that we had on Christmas Eve was absolutely delicious. My mom's an awesome cook, so, naturally, everything--the ham, the chicken salad that's unique to her style of cooking, the fresh salad--absolutely amazing. You would have loved to have spent Christmas Eve with my family, haha. I received a new jewelry box that's gorgeous, a designer purse, gift cards galore (especially at Barnes and Noble) and a bunch of clothes that are also comfy and beautiful. (No, that's not a contradiction.)

New Years was lots of fun. We had company over, and we made more ham, haha, but my aunt also brought in some lamb. I was obsessed--I didn't even touch the ham, I just gobbled up more than my share of lamb. I cam-whored, as well.

Yeah, I used Photoshop to edit it, haha.

But we had a great time on New Years.

Then, on the 3rd and 4th, were the birthdays of my little cousin, Jimena, and my little sister, Isabel. Their parties weren't until the 12th and 13th, though. They enjoyed their many gifts and toys and clothes and Hannah Montana-related merchandise. x3

On the 5th, me and Tommy celebrated our second anniversary as a couple. heart We were very pleased, and once we get the free time, we're sending our gifts to each other. xD Gosh, I love that boy ...

Anyway! We then realized that my aunt, Jimena's mom, is pregnant, and her little bundle (or bundles, if, Jesus Christ, there's more than one in there) of joy is due in August! How exciting! I, personally, am hoping for a boy, and I hope that they ask me to be his or her godmother. Homg, I would love that. But we'll see, 'cause there are other very likely candidates in the race. (Including my mom. Wth? She's already got godchildren. I've got nothin'.) D:

I'm back in school and all's going well, though the material is getting harder and stuff, especially in history. Man, that class is going to be the end of me. If I weren't completely in love with my history teacher, I would probably throw a chair at someone in that classroom in frustration. Seriously. I love history, don't get me wrong, and I want to take an AP course in history in my sophomore year. I just don't enjoy learning about the Indus Valley civilization. Sorry, to those who enjoy that particular branch of history; I just think the names are too weird, too foreign, and it's not like Greece, where the words and special terms have Latin roots that you can easily connect to English (or, if you're bilingual), Spanish, or French, or a Latin-based language.

I particularly liked Greece. I liked the people we learned about, I liked learning about the history of the western mind and how we came about, where the world's greatest philosophers and thinkers originated. I don't know. It just fascinates me. I love Greece.

But freaking India? Dude, India is gorgeous and all, and so is its history. I just hate learning the terms and all. As Brian May says, "Astronomy's fun until you're an astronomer." Same concept. The Indian culture is gorgeous until that test plops on your desk.

I've got an English test tomorrow, actually. Luckily, we're going to be able to use our resourses on a part of it, and the rest of it is grammar. Pfft, it's easy. But I'm going to flip through my flashcards a few more times and then go to sleep.

On the bright side! Tomorrow, as well, at 8 AM, we're being served breakfast (breakfast tacos and donuts ...!) while we study for our English test. Free dress! Woo! C: No uniforms for the rest of the week ...!

Then, once we're done, we're going to go play some games in the gym and in the student lounge and stuff. Tomorrow will definitely be a better day. *cough* No more Indian stuff. *cough*

And, on Friday, we have social awareness; also, free dress! <3 They're not telling us what we're doing as projects until we get to school. Personally, I want to work in a soup kitchen; I love the idea of feeding the hungry, and those who lack the basic needs of survival, including nutritious food to eat every day. I would want to work with autistic kids or kids with mental retardation issues, but I have no patience with anyone. D: Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't get angry at a mentally-challenged person. But I'm just not the patient, "I want to teach children in need" kind of person, you know? It just doesn't fit my personality.

But if I do wind up with that service project, I'll definitely do it with grace and in the name of the Lord and all of His holy goodness. heart

Song of the Moment: "Hammer to Fall" by Queen.
Mood: Disappointed in myself for blanking out on the godforsaken India test, a bit nervous, excited, anticipating, exhausted.
Awesome Thread: Tender Teddies has adorable stuff for this Valentine's Day, which is coming up fast! That's where I got the lovely picture frame with me and my boy that is currently being displayed in my signature in the spirit of love and of Saint Valentine. heart Check 'em out! They've got great stuff besides frames--customizable iPods, teddies (unsurprisingly), and signature banners!
